Works exactly as advertised.
This worked just as described. I came across a link for this item via FORscan. I ordered this item to help troubleshoot a family members Ford F-150. The connection process was intuitive and we were able to accurately diagnose a faulty ignition coil. My experience was that the adapter worked perfectly with an Android version of FORscan (FORscan Lite) to help diagnose and repair a misfire on a Ford F150.Once the scanner was connected via Bluetooth to my phone that was running FORscan Lite, the code that was showing was a misfire in cylinder #4. Eventually we swapped out the ignition coils from cylinder #4 and cylinder #5 and ran another diagnostic and the misfire "moved" to cylinder #5, and we were able to conclude that the issue was a faulty ignition coil, once the faulty ignition coil was replaced, the truck ran extremely smooth.

Worked perfect
The media could not be loaded. 97 obs 7.3 Powerstroke. Plugged in under the glove box, turned key on, connected using the button in Forscan. DO NOT CONNECT UNDER BLUETOOTH SETTINGS, CONNECT USING THE APP ON YOUR PHONE! Device connected no issues, read the error code which confirmed what I thought the issue was. Replaced the Cam position sensor, code disappeared. Used the forscan app to then monitor fuel pressure, voltage, rpm, map, etc. Everything worked exactly as advertised and was super simple, no laptop needed.

Unclear Instructions, But Works Well Once Figured Out
It took me a minute to figure out what I needed to do to get it to work. At first, I couldn't get it to connect to my Android phone using Forscan Lite after plugging it into the OBDII port. The product is described as "made for Forscan," which I used. After I couldn't get it to connect, I read some of the other reviews on here of other people saying they couldn't get it to connect either. But I suspect their issue was the same as mine. So here's how I got it to work.Plugged it in to the OBD II port on my truck and followed the instructions given. Went into my phone's Bluetooth settings and connected it using the pin # 1234 as the instructions stated. Then went into Forscan and attempted to get it to connect, and it kept telling me no adapters found. So that's where I thought it was stuck. But here's what you have to do. You then have to go into the settings on Forscan Lite and click on Bluetooth. But then you have to go to another setting on a different screen and actually manually choose the particular Bluetooth adapter you want Forscan to connect to. It doesn't do it automatically, as one would expect and the vague instructions suggest. So if you're having trouble getting it to connect, make sure you not only connect the adapter to your phone using the phone's Bluetooth settings, but also two different settings in Forscan Lite app itself must be set. So three steps total. After I got it to connect, it seems to be working perfectly. My only suggestion is for this company to write better instructions.

Plays well with Android Phone and Forscan Lite
The Vlinker FD+ was one of two Bluetooth OBD2 scanners recommended by Forscan, and was less than half the price of the most popular unit so was worth a try. It paired easily, just followed the included instructions. It can read dozens if not hundreds of parameters. I only use it for displaying real time dashboard parameters that are not included on my Ford Escape Hybrid display. Since a hybrid replaces the tachometer with a power meter, I can now read RPMs on my phone, mounted between the steering wheel and infotainment display. I also added dials for hybrid battery level, engine coolant temp deg F, fuel level %, and the torque of both the electric motor and gas engine. The only complaint is that the scanner does not reawake when the car is started, it needs unplugged and reinserted each time. This seems to be a common problem with other brands, too, as mentioned on their forums. I bought an OBD2 extension cable with in-line on/off switch, Autool brand from Amazon, and ziptied that and the scanner under the dash within reach, making it easy to repower and reawake the scanner before each trip, problem solved.

Read the manual…. Amazing little device and compact
The Vlinker OBD FD+ has proven to be a gem in the world of car diagnostics. The initial setup is a breeze as it connects to your car swiftly, offering a flawless performance. However, a heads-up for users – reading the manual is crucial before tossing it aside, especially since downloading a Bluetooth profile on your phone is necessary. It might seem a bit confusing initially, but it's a small hurdle that's easily overcome.I own a 2014 Ford Fiesta st and 2011 f150 , and using Forscan has never been more convenient. This device provides access to vital features, allowing you to analyze your vehicle's health with the ease of your smartphone. The Vlinker OBD FD+, paired with the right app, can easily outshine those expensive tablets. It's a must-have tool for anyone looking to maintain and understand their car's condition without breaking the bank. Highly recommended!

Only good for a single use.
I got this product after researching a way to link up to a diesel truck that won't link with a normal scan tool. This one was the recommended product. So I ordered it without hesitation.Out of the box, the instructions were clear enough to follow easily and I connected to my truck. There was a TON of data available through the Forscan lite app. Did what I needed, and all was well. Two weeks later, I tried to use it a second time and it would not connect to my phone. Tried it on a different vehicle, still no connection. Called tech support and they sent me a replacement unit.Second unit wad able to use it once again, but upon yhe second usage, it again would not connect. I was willing to say that the first one might have been defective, but both did exactly the same thing. Conclusion: cheap junk. Do not recommend.

Great value, and works as advertised.
I bought this to work with Forscan which no longer functions with Android (Forscan program incompatible with current Android version), instead I'm running Torque Pro, and the adapter works beautifully with basically every car I use it in. It's like an inexpensive diagnostic tablet I can use on the go when my Matco Maximus is at work and I just need a quick answer.

Best obd dongle you can get
Bought this to use with forscan lite on my phone, does everything I need it to. Pulls abs codes, let’s me do test procedures that are available with for scan and works great with garage pro as well. I’m able to pull abs codes off of gms and dodges, something you can’t do with cheaper dongles. The price to what you get is unbeatable.

Conforme à la description du produit
Instructions pas très claires, tu dois payer pour utiliser le logiciel, je crois qu'avoir un crédit sur le logiciel utilisé serait une bonne idée avec cet appareil
