Quite easy to use
I used one of these to drive the contrast adjustment for an LCD on an Arduino-based project.A couple of points: -- At first I used a specific library to drive the device, but I found it easy enough to write my own functions in conjunction with the Arduino Wire library- 0x60 was the address I had to use.The non-volatile write option is handy; e.g. in my case I can allow the user to adjust the display, then set the output until it needs to be changed again.

All five worked flawlessly. Interfacing with a Teensy and Arduino. Also worked with Adafruit’s multiplexer.

Inexpensive I2C Analog to Digial Converter
These met my expectation and perhaps a bit more. I was looking for a cheap 12b DAC for micros that didn't have one built in and the 4725 fit the bill. They came with no documentation but the MCP4725 is widely used and documentation easily obtained. When I finally got around to trying it out, Sparkfun's website got me going in about 15min. I was pleased with the 5vpp output. The device only has a single address pin which could be tied high or low for address 0x61 or 0x60, or it could be used as a high or low chip select in case one needed more than two DACs.
