Works perfectly! What I really like about this splitter over other models is the base. Others are round whereas this one has ‘feet’ which can be put up on blocks if you are splitting longer pieces of wood

Awesome little tool. We have a fireplace on our back patio and this is perfect to get the logs small enough fire going. Also looks pretty cool on the fireplace and a good conversation starter. People ask about it a lot.

The day I got this in the mail, I went out and split some smaller logs that I’d set off to the side for our fire pit. I’m a 55-yo woman and have never done much wood splitting. I thought this worked great. With just a hammer, this is easier (and safer) than splitting kindling with a small axe. Great purchase.

I had great hopes for this gizmo, but it didn't do a thing to split some really well-seasoned, dense logs.

Great concept and works well! Definitely need to stabilize it on a board or something!

My only real complaint is that the convex shape of the blade tends to turn the piece out to the side as it cuts.

It works perfectly. Put a small log on the wedge split.

I have tried to split oak and hickory and this does not work.
