HP Laserjet 4200n Printer

I bought this for work in 2008. It’s still working and I’ve only had to call the maintenance guy once!

This thing is a workhorse. Tough and simple to operate and maintain. I've hated nearly every other HP printer I've owned, but this thing is amazing. Bought it used and it runs like a champ.

The product arrived on schedule and when I pulled it out of the box, it worked quite well; I'm still evaluating it though, since it is a used device and one can never tell when there will be problems.

good printer for the price. Using in our Customer Service area and have had no problems with these in the past. Much cheaper to get a refurbished one

Great printer for an office, easy to use. I have one at my work station and needed a second one for a new work station. Even got delivered in three days.

I bought this printer as a replacement for an identical one that finally wore out. It arrived missing the network card which then took another couple weeks to receive. That card was defective also and I am still awaiting re3solution to this problem.

When I was able to get a Driver (Very L:ittle Assistance from HP) It Runs and Performs Great !!! Thank You!!!

Arrived packed carefully, Looked new when unwrapped. Easy to install and works well. Bullet proof!

About buying: I bought mine from Printer*Star via Amazon. Amazon consolidate offers from multiple suppliers under a single advert. This particular advert guaranteed a minimum 25% toner in the cartridge. When the printer arrived, it only had about 10%, so I complained to Printer*Star. They were amazing and immediately dispatched me a new cartridge, despite the fact that it was not their advertising copy, and probably Amazon's promise rather than theirs. So top marks for that. You need to be aware that the supplier may not actually know what has been said in their name.About setting up the printer: I linked it to my home hub via Ethernet, but could not for the life of me get DHCP to work. I have done loads of DHCP setups in the past, so I don't think it was just me being a divvy. In the end, I set the IP connection manually. That's not hard either, but if you have never done one before you are in for a bit of Googling to see how it's done.Ask me in 5 years whether the printer is the workhorse it's supposed to be. So far it has printed cleanly and quickly, with no jams. It is a much more confidence-inspiring beast than the consumer-grade machine I could have bought new for the same money, and the cost-per-page is much lower, too.
