Zoe Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, 2.5 Liters

I've been using Zoe for over 25 years, even as a Chef. Great flavor profile, very approachable and reasonably priced for the quality it shows. I don't use this to cook with, this is strictly a finishing oil, something to drizzle on finished foods like fish, salads, pastas, soups and for dipping breads. I also use in Hummus, to add another dimension to avocado purees, on fried eggs (to finish) and to marinate cheeses (think feta). Great oil for the money. I love it.

Great flavor and price.

Good olive oil, but I wish I could find an olive oil that has that fruity taste. This is the best of the blended olive oils, but give me full fruity olive oil without all the blending and fuss.

This has been our go-to for everything that calls for olive oil (sautéing, dressings, etc.). It has a light nutty flavor and stays fresh for a long time. Whisk into fresh lemon juice and honey, drizzle on salads, steamed veggies, even cut fruit...mmm!

Taste is good, organic & extra virgin. Non-drip spout, small handle on top are nice features. Like to support smaller companies.

Product arrived damaged and leaking.

The oil lacks flavor.That could be because my can arrived unsealed as flavor can weaken with oxidation. When I contacted the seller to find out if this was normal, I was told that they didn't have such info. I was then given the option of a free return and the contact info of the manufacturer/importer/wholesaler/whatever, so I could get an answer to my original, simple Q.Personally, I think it makes sense to expect the seller to both be able to answer such Qs and to contact their sources when more basic info is asked for. (Ever try to contact one of these concerns? It's usually neither easy nor pleasant.)As for the oil:Two local Costcos carry an organic from Crete for about the same $/volume. And that product comes in 750ml glass bottles and has tons of grassy, earthy flavor.I love to know if others received an unsealed can before I pass final judgement on this oil.
