Tough 1 Nylon Halter with Satin Hardware

Usually his head is smaller than average horse size but too big for COB. (Thoroughbred/ Quarterhorse) getting normal horse size on halter I usually have to punch a new hole so it will fit or he loses it in the field (they all pull on each others halters playing) I was surprised this fit perfectly! I automatically put it the tightest and it was too tight, so I backed it off like 2 holes and it was perfect! Nice bright colors (I got the line green and orange) so far the lime has been holding strong for a few weeks and still is pretty bright despite him being muddy! Super happy for cheap costing halter that actually holds up!

Color was great, the hardware was very VERY flimsy. Grommets and buckles were made of what felt like aluminum, very lightweight, bendable. The grommets were poorly set, too light for the depth of the cloth meaning they will pop out. They buckle tongue does not move smoothly and the webbing is so stiff that it is near impossible to buckle without bending. The price was great, color great, webbing great, hardware a critical fail.I have a 15 Paint- average size and the full size did not come near fitting her with smallest adjustments, I'm not dinging them for the sizing but be aware these run very large.

I have ordered the tough-1 draft halter for my draft and it was "5star" AWESOME and at an awesome price. Very thick, and well made. So I decided to try this one for one of my quarter horses, and it's just "ok". It isn't "AWESOME", or "very thick and well made". It works, and it was inexpensive. I would maybe purchase again, because it works and it was cheap. I wouldn't use this halter on any of my crazy mares, as they would likely break it off pretty easy. The gelding I use it for is old and gentle, and hardly ever uses it, so it'll probably last him a good while. I prefer nylon halters, as the leather halters always get moldy here in florida, unless your tack spot is climate controlled. I've had this one a few months and it has't broken or anything, just feels of inferior quality from ALL of the other "TOUGH-1" Items that I have purchased. They have had pretty consistent, excellent, quality, until this mediocre halter.

Decent halter at a great price! This halter is half the price of a weaver and does the job! We use it for shows. Another reviewer wrote that the orange is more of a bright coral color, which is exactly the color I wanted. I will be ordering again!

I ordered orange for emergency evacuation kits, and the color is more like... a tropical drink of some sort. So color not as shown, much more pastel, but the halter overall is OK for the cost. Haven't tried them on a horse yet but the proportions look ok.I'd spend more for everyday halters that get used a lot, but these are adequate for infrequent use.

The color is perfect, the snap is exactly what I wanted. Delivery was quick. Great product and fits perfectly.

Although the halter is decent, the sizes are off. This is a 15 hand tall mare wearing this "pony" size. Lucky I have several heads to trade out on. 😁

I have had a lot of halters but this one is the worst. If you get it twisted around so that you can put it on the right way, then the buckle adjusting the nose is against the nose in the way that pokes the horse. If you get that part right, then you have to put the rest of the bridle on bucledvon the wrong side like a leftie. We have used it twice and two of the rivets are already having the nylon fray around the hole at the buckle.

Fits well. Not strong hardware but works well for our horse who is well trained and doesn't need the strength of better hardware. I wouldn't recommend for young or high energy horses simply because the buckles might not hold up.

Just what I was looking for. Not the absolute highest quality halter (which I wasn't expecting anyway), but excellent for the price. Fast shipping.
