Great for Kefir
It works great for making and straining the Kefir.Only issue I had so far is that the straining lid co.rs off easily, so I have to look out for that when I am straining the Kefir. It's a very good buy.

Mixed feelings
Generous because of the Jar which is ideal for purpose, however the kefir grains(as some have previously reported) are useless. I followed the instructions to the letter and alas the grains never reactivated, I threw them away after 8 days of wasting milk. Do yourself a favour and buy the live mushrooms on ebay, 20g for around ยฃ6.50 and buy a separate jar for fermenting.

Nice jar
Nice jar (but not worth ยฃ29) and kit, but my attempts to make kefir just resulted in sour milk. Might try again with live grains....

Nice looking jar but dififcult to use and would not recommend the grains!
I love the look and size of the jar BUT the lid too fiddly to use. It takes forever for the milk to strain through and the scraper attachment tends to mush the grains so I now just use a separate mesh strainer. We didn't have any difficulty rehydrating the grains but the instructions are terrible and very contradictory, especially if you follow the vidoes on the Kefirko Youtube channel. We also found the kefir had a very funky taste - whether we did something wrong (or got inferior grains), I don't know but after a month or so, we ditched them and purchased some more online (that were already hydrated) and all I can say is that the flavour/consistency has been significantly better since then, not at all bitter, with just the right amount of tang.If you have a decent jar and something to cover it with, then I wouldn't bother with this kit!
