I have other lights around my property, but there was one area that I had not yet covered with a light, and because of its proximity to a major street, I really wanted to have a light to cover that area so I would feel safer.I had been planning on running power to a new shed, and could have gone with a slightly less expensive fixture, but since that plan was postponed around the beginning of Covid, I figured that another solar light would be the best option since I wasn’t going to run power to that location.I have used powered and solar powered solar in other locations around the outside of the house before, but this time I needed more power because the light would be up a higher pole and it would need to cover a larger area. The other lights I have were less powerful so for this location I selected the 300 watt light. Knowing it comes with a remote I knew that even if it is too bright, I could turn it down with the remote so I wouldn’t be annoying the neighbor on the other side of the fence.Setting up the light involved 5 core elementsLocation selectionPole installationAssembly of mounting armAttaching light and solar panel to armMounting entire fixture to the poleI selected a spot right on the corner of the house because it would provide the most light in 2 directions, and because there is hardly any shade from the trees. Next, I used a custom bracket to secure the pole that everything would mount on to the wall and still keep the light away from my security camera.I then assembled the mounting hardware by following the instructions. This was easy to do because the instructions are good, and everything you need is in the box.After putting all that together, I attached the solar panel, ran the cable inside the mounting arm, and attached the light at the end. For me, I assembled everything and then carried the light up the ladder to finish the install, but for some people it might be better to leave the light until you have the arm and solar panel in place and then carry the light up and attach and secure it last.In order to get the best use from the light front the very first day I had it installed, I had already left it out for three days to charge in the sun. This way I knew it would provide light from dusk to dawn.Operating the light is easily accomplished through the included remote control, and the different settings you can select with the remote are:Full brightness for 8 hoursFull brightness for 6 hoursAuto on/off mode2 hrs full brightness & 2 hrs motion sensing4 hrs full brightness & 4 hrs motion sensing6 hrs full brightness & 6 hrs motion sensing4 hrs full brightness full & 8 hrs motion sensingLight sensing and motion sensingYou have to have a direct line of sight to the light for the remote to work, and be under 30 feet from the light for it to respond.The way I have the light used it is set to the motion sensing mode where it will dim when there is no movement and then go to full brightness if motion is detected. Any slight movement will trigger the light which is a very comforting in regards to feeling safe.The light is IP66 waterproof so you won’t have any concerns regarding it being damaged by rain. The media could not be loaded. Love this solar light, its nice and bright. It only took a few hours to install and has motion detection as well. Keeps my yard well lit throughout the night. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a bright solar light.

I am not a handyman by any means but the light is so easy to install. It is very sturdy, well built and very bright!! My wife loves it. Happy wife happy life!! I would recommend it to everyone.

I love this light so much it’s way better than the other one I head this one stays charged even in the winter in Shelton Washington don’t see a lot of sun told my family and friends they’re planning to get one it’s very bright definitely five stars i’m sure I will own this many years to come so if anybody’s reading this don’t be scared to purchase you will be very happy I about never write a review but I thought it would now

Worked fine until just after the return date ran out.Seal leaked and allows water to get inside to the circuit board. This happens shortly after the return period expired. Shortly after leaving a negative review the seller will contact you offering a couple of lesser lights for free but only after you edit your review. After editing your review they come up with a bunch of excuses why they can't ship to your address. Now wait they shipped the original light there? Shady at best , look elsewhere.

So I purchased this light on sale for 50% off regular price off Amazon. Thought I was getting free delivery. Magically I was charged $90 for delivery which matched full retail price. My bad for not reading fine print. We installed light at 15’ height and motion detector won’t read apparently at that distance despite saying it should. Anyway light is bright though.

The lamp came in and was packaged well. Went together easily and was well constructed. All was there for the installation including a remote that has a variety of functions. I am very happy with the light and look forward to ordering more for other areas.

This is a great light! Very bright and it was easy to install. The sun does all the rest. I love that it has a remote too! We are very happy with this light! Highly recommend it’
