Q: with all the recent controvery on fake olive oils, how do you back up your 'guarantee' that this is real carrot oil?

I think you're referring more towards essential oils, rather than carrier oils, which this is a carrier oil. I've bought carrier oils from this company myself, and the quality was excellent! Without a doubt, the oils were exactly what they stated they were. As for essential oils, you do need to be more apprehensive because not all essential oils sold are the quality stated! I would think that a seller would gladly prove if their oils are certified, but not every company will have them certified though. From my understanding, it's not a cheap process for the qualifications. Sorry for the long explanation, LoL. I hope this helps though, even if a little.

Q: What is the expiry date for this item ?

It states on the bottle that shelf life is 1 year from date of purchase. A bottle lasts me about 3 months. I apply morning and evening.

Q: would it be harmfull to put a few drops in your tea for healthier living it is an essential oil?

This is NOT an 'Essental Oil'. This is cold pressed oil. Essential Oils are extremely concentrated, as it takes an extremely large amount of any product to make an Essental Oil. Carrot EOs would be more around $25-&30 for 15 ml.
