15L small and simple, as wanted
We've been short of a small bag to toss a few things in and go ("day bag"?), and often took a larger bag and unnecessary things. The 15L model is small, simple, and just right for us.It's not exactly as advertised, which seems to describe the 20L+ models, so I've provided photos. Specifically there's no chest strap and no compression strap, but that's ok for our needs so not sending it back.If you are carrying heavier things (maybe cameras or books) the good news is the back and shoulder straps are padded (see photos), but again it doesn't have a chest strap.Build quality and material seem good, as you'd expect from Berghaus.Overall we're happy with this bag, especially at the sale price.

YKK zippers, light, sturdy
I have to edit my review from 5 stars to 1 star. I purchased two of these bags, 25L and 30L. I was very happy with my purchase of the 30L bag (which you can still read below).Review for the last bag I received (25L):This is absolutely not the bag in the picture. It doesn't have two big zippered pockets, like the 30L one I already have, and as shown in the picture, but only one main zippered compartment and an open front pocket.I don't even have the time to send it back. I've thrown away money for nothing. Very disappointed as I was happy with my previous purchase from Berghaus and thought they were a serious company.Review for the first bag I received (30L):I can confirm that they use YKK zippers (see pic). I struggled to find this information previous to the purchase and wanted to leave this review for anyone looking for this piece of info in the future. Also see pic for the actual measurements.Dimensions: Approximately 52cm (H) x 28cm (W) x 22cm (D)Weight: Approximately 535gMy electronic scale agreed with the weight.Looks pretty spacious, I am going to Thailand for 28 days next year and I needed a bag like this (I'll update this review after my trip, if I remember to do it). Now, I'm trying to transform my life according to healthy and relaxed principles of a balanced minimalism, so I really needed a bag that is strong, light and versatile and can be a good carry on.I just unpacked it so I can't vouch for its durability, but it does look pretty sturdy. Initially I was going for the Osprey Farpoint 40, which is obviously a bit larger than this one, but is WAY TOO HEAVY = 1.41kg! AND it costs three times this bag.Carry on weight limits are sometimes as low as 7kg (that's the actual maximum for my Eva Air flight to Bangkok), and the Osprey Farpoint 40 right away removes 1.41kg from that limit. That's 20% of the maximum weight I can carry, way too much. This bag will allow me to carry about 900g more which is huge.I could slide a 15.4 inch Dell XPS in the pocket in the main compartment, and there's some space left. You can definitely fit a 17 inch in it as well.

Simplicity & functionality in a good value for money rucksack
So so happy with this rucksack, it has all the features I wanted, is great value for money and well made.I bought it to take as stowaway hand luggage on Ryanair flights, as I was sick of paying extra to take a little suitcase with me. Though it is slightly taller (4cm) than allowed (though the width and depth are perfect), I figured it would be fine, after having seen so many passengers with giant rucksacks with them, never getting checked!!What I think is so impressive about this rucksack is that it is simplicity combined with functionality in a small-ish, good value for money rucksack. Though it is simple by design, it checked all my boxes. The features I liked were the simple black design (I don't much like the look of 'busy' rucksacks), 2 drink holders, well designed zips that don't get caught, a chest strap, handy little slots inside and outside (perfect for your passport, keys or phone), an extra little section inside (good for slotting in a laptop or hydration bladder) and a little hole for the tube of a hydration bladder to slot through.

Excellent, durable and simple backpack
This is a great quality pack for a good price. The most important factor for me is that the advertised 30l capacity is almost entirely taken up by one big useful section. It’s not split into 2/3/4 annoyingly small sections you often find in other backpacks. The fabric is very durable and the zips are good quality. They started quite stiff but they are running more smoothly now. The smaller front pocket is partitioned in a sensible manner.Due to the shape and strap position, the pack naturally sits high on your back, which is very good for comfort and maintaining good posture during extended use.A great value pack

Great quality for the price.
I always like Berghaus rucksacks as they feel solidly made, and this one is no exception. It’s great for the commute, or an overnight bag. I wouldn’t recommend it for day hiking as there is no waist strap, and the rear of the rucksack wouldn’t keep your back sweat free.

High quality, great comfort and functionality !
High quality sturdy attractive daysack offering 2 compartments,( smaller front one is ideal for waterproofs, drinks etc and can be accessed without opening main compartment. ) I am 6ft5ins with 52inch chest and the with the straps at full length the fit is great with good comfort, and padded area in contact with your back makes for excellent comfort. One niggle is the silly plastic carabiner ........NEVER attach keys or other valuable items via the carabiner, as they could be quite easily removed by someone standing near you !!! Overall a great value comfortable and useable sack perfect for day trips/hikes./ shopping/ overnights.
