Rockville VOL70100 100 Watt 70v Black Wall Volume Control Zone Controller Box

I had never installed one of these before but it was very easy to use and works great. The connector is a little bit loose but it didn’t cause an issue. Installed with JBL 70v speakers. The markings on the front are very easy to understand and seems to be well-made and durable. Very happy with this.

Works great....I've used two now for commercial applications. One for a new install of a 70v system running 12 speakers in a gym. The second was used inline for an older system where the old installed speakers had all but two of the taps removed... just dropped it inline from the amp to control a locker rooms worth of speakers. Not an ideal solution, but its was all they were willing to pay for and it worked.

Updated Review after 6 months:Inexplicably it just stopped working. Warranty is only 90 days so I am out of luck. We used it (changed the volume) just 2-3 times a day.Original Review: I needed a control for a radio in my steam shower (the switch is *outside* the shower). This worked well for me (so far, I've had it 2 weeks). I needed to use an existing double gang switch plate (rather than the single plate that comes with the unit) & the fit was really tight but it worked. Regarding fit in the electrical box, it was also pretty tight. I had to force it a little since it was hitting the top of my retro blue box.Two downsides: 1) the volume range is a little bit limited but "ok", and 2) the knob as physical stops and therefore doesn't turn smoothly & takes a little effort to turn it unlike a typical volume knob.

Placed these in a house for whole house speaker system. They are easy to install and work great!
