Gulluoglu Turkish Walnut Baklava, 3.3lb - 1500 gr, 42 pieces, daily fresh shipment from Istanbul/Turkey

My friend is from Turkey and introduced me to good authentic baklava. Since then, I’ve tried to find it in the states but cannot, most sold in stores are very dry and tasteless, nothing like the real thing. I am blown away by how good this is, and also how well it is packed and prepared coming so far away. The package is in a box and inside the box is a plastic tray that is sealed. Even if the package is jostled, which it surely is coming across the ocean, the baklava stays perfectly in tact, each one is perfect. And my goodness, the taste and quality. It is so flakey, perfectly moist, and just delicious. I keep it in the freezer to try and limit myself from eating the whole thing in one sitting, I’ll take one out a few hours before I want to eat it and it’s just glorious. I highly recommend this.

This the best Baklava I've had in a long time,made with real butter you can taste it. Crisp flaky outer and layered with delicious walnuts. Will buy again. Excellent Quality.

I normally do not write reviews because there are so many. but this was a must. EXCELLENT walnut Baklava. I want to start by saying I was always surrounded by Mediterranean foods as a child and continued to eat Mediterranean foods into adulthood. Including delectable deserts. (Baklava my Favorite) Baklava is hard to buy online and usually when you receive it it's too dry, not fresh, or too sweet. This Baklava was fresh, flaky, not over sweet just the perfect amount of all ingredients. DELICIOUS. I will be ordering this Baklava and sending it across the USA for all of my family to enjoy!! and I'm going to be selfish and order more for myself too!! Thank you Gulluoglu for making a delicious delicacy and delivering a fresh delicious product! I will be a customer long term!

OMG! It came quickly, and was well sealed, let me say that first, so it was fresh. Now to the best part... it was soooo good! It was melt in your mouth good. If you've never had Turkish baklava, you haven't lived! The best I've ever had was in Istanbul so when I stumbled on this company on Amazon I had to take the chance. And let me tell you they did not disappoint! This family business even included a personalized letter, standing behind their product. It was so tender and moist AND flavorful! I will definitely order from them again!

In the ‘90’s we were stationed in Napoli Italy with NATO. There was a Turkish gentleman there who made baklava for an event. It was the first time I had baklava. I have never found its equal in the US. I ordered this in the hope that it would at least come close. I’m in a small village above the Arctic circle and figured it would take 6-8 weeks to get here since we can only be accessed by plane. It was here in 2 weeks. It was frozen solid due to where it was stored but I brought it home and set it out to thaw. I can rarely say that a company is truthful in their advertising but this one is definitely the exception. The baklava pastry was crisp, sweet and the walnuts were subtle and not overpowering. It was better than the baklava I remembered. I highly recommend this company and their baklava. They sent complimentary almond “cookies” that were also amazing as long as you don’t confuse them with traditional American cookies. Very highly recommended!!!

This is absolutely, hands down, the very best baklava I've ever had! It's very fresh, due to being made in Turkey, and then shipped straight to me (the customer!)! I've had other baklava in my past, but this truly is like going straight to Turkey and being handed freshly made, mouth-watering goodness! The Company included a thank you letter, as well as several pieces of Turkish Delight as a token of their appreciation!! The Turkish Delight is totally amazing also, and I just can't say enough good words about this creator of the number 1 baklava! It's worth the price, considering what it must cost to ship to each customer, internationally, and I'll be purchasing from this Company again!!

I can only imagine what it must be like to have it freshly out of the oven soaked syrup... Until I book a flight to Turkey this baklava will do just fine! Crunchy phylo, fragrant butter, yummy walnut filling, heavenly 💯

The baklava was delivered via UPS Express in 2 days, perfectly fresh and very nicely packaged. A couple of little gift treats rounded up an overall excellent experience with Gulluoglu bakery. However, I think the flavour of their walnut as well as pistachio baklavas can be significantly improved if they were to use better grade of nuts, and in larger amounts. Right now, the nut flavour is too subtle, to the point of not being able to tell if I am having the pistachio or the walnut kind. In other words, there should be more nuts in the baklava, and the nut flavour should be more robust.

I have never tasted any so fresh and delicious. They were to my home on Vancouver Island within 2 days of being made.
