This automatic feeder is great! I love that I can plug it into an outlet so I’m not constantly replacing batteries like I did in my old one. I use it for my French Bulldog’s small kibble and it works great! Easy to set the feeding times and amount of food you want it to drop each feeding.

After the death of our older cat, we finally decided to do something about our other cat's habit of waking us up at 0430 to eat. She is definitely food motivated, and it would have been impossible to use a feeder of any kind when the other cat was still alive-- she would have eaten everything before he even got to the food bowl!Anyway-- we researched feeders on Amazon, and this Petlibro one seemed like a good choice. Got the 4L size because of only one cat. We were really pleased when it arrived; it is attractive, and the programming was fairly intuitive (could always use more directions, but we figured it out!). We tested the portion size a couple of times as the described quantities didn't match up exactly with what came out, but it was easy enough to customize the dispensed amount to our needs. The locking function is really nice--it makes sure no kitty 'investigation' will result in accidental dispensing of food! And so far, there haven't been any issues with our cat being able to take off the lid of the food reservoir, etc.Our cat paired with this feeder almost immediately, and best news of all, in just a few days, she doesn't meow for food at 0430 anymore! She waits in front of the Petlibro, and it takes care of feeding her! We will gradually push back her feeding times by 5 minute increments over the next weeks to get her used to a more reasonable time to eat, but in the meantime, it is really nice to be able to sleep past 0430. Finally! And it's nice to have her dinner time scheduled as well in case we are late getting home, etc.Thank you so much, Petlibro, for a great pet feeder!

This is a very sleek looking contraption and it has been a great buy for our cat. We’re trying to train him to stop screaming for food at 6 am on the weekends, and I think this is the ticket to get us there.Pros: It is very quiet. My skittish kitty isn’t scared of it at all, and the fact that I can record my voice to talk to him when the food drops is adorable. It has a nice wide dish, so the cat with sensitive whiskers won’t get irritated by the sides of the bowl, and I like that we can plug it in and not just rely on batteries to keep it powered. It also holds a ton of food - probably a month’s worth.Cons: 1. The set up directions are really vague. Like, really vague. If you’re technologically inclined, you’ll be ok. If you’re not, this is going to drive you to drink. I had it figured out after the third time I programmed it. Bring your patience with you, it’ll be worth it. 2. The portion sizes are a little weird. The directions said that a portion size was 2 1/2 tsp, but it seemed like way less than that. It took some trial and error to find the right number of portions for my cat. Again - bring your patience, there’s a learning curve.All in all, we’re happy with it. It should make our weekend mornings a little smoother, kitty likes it, and it looks fantastic in our kitchen.

I have been very pleased with the Petlibro Automatic Cat Feeder. The price, packaging, quality, and performance have been excellent! Plus, I have one happy cat who is fed on time! I tested the reliability of the feeder for a number of weeks before leaving my cat for a few days. No missed feedings! The portion size seems to work and doles out more or less food based on the set number of portions. However, I would encourage owners to confirm the actual amount of food in each portion as my cat was actually getting more than his usual share initially. No big deal as I recalibrated the settings and now all is well. In addition, the lock feature is straightforward to use and cleaning of the removable metal bowl is quick and easy. After four months with the feeder, I am very pleased with my purchase!

UPDATE: After cleaning it out, and a day later, the device started dispensing food again and has been working since. The customer service of the manufacturer has offered to replace it. I am holding off on that while we see if it continues to work fine. No known cause or obvious defect. The hopper just seemed to have stopped for a short while. Otherwise, this device is wonderful.UPDATE : This product stopped dispensing food. The audible portion still works, but the rotation of the dispenser no longer moves any food to the bowl. I will adjust this upon receiving feedback from the manufacturer.In order to write a meaningful review on this product, I wanted to wait a few weeks. This is the first time I've had an auto-feeding system. I can tell you that my only regret is not doing this sooner. The cat has a regular, portioned (which is totally configurable) meal schedule now. The "reminders" about a meal are no longer.On top of this product being easy to set up and use, the overall design of this feeder is pleasing to the eye. The audio recording of her "servant's" own voice telling the cat that it is time for feeding is a wonderful feature.

This was vet-recommended for my very food driven cat. The selling point was the rubber hopper wouldn’t get her paws caught or injure her. Unfortunately, she uses that to her advantage and will shove half her body into the food dish in order to paw the hopper enough to get it to push extra food out! It’s incredibly sturdy and has functioned well for four years running. I decided to buy a new one in the Petlibro family with a more robust mill design. This one I plan on giving to a friend to continue using for her new cat.
