Mmmmash!
Well it helps make perfect mash with no lumps and saves your saucepan from a bashing. That said, I can do exactly the same with a conventional good quality masher with less fuss and mess!I have this a fair run over a few weeks (we eat mash a lot) it seems you have to cook the potatoes within an inch of their lives so I tried Maris Piper and this helped. The main issue for me is the extra time and mess, by the time I’ve got the ricer out, filled it with a couple of spoonfuls of potato then squeezed the thing I could have done the lot with a conventional masher.I’ll keep hold of it but will go back to my old trusty masher. (It’s a solid one piece utensil)The choice is yours

Feels Flimsy
I knew it was plastic when I bought it but it does feel a bit flimsy. I have no idea what the ergonomic twist-action is because you just press and squeeze. Time will tell how durable it is.

Ok but flimsy!
Used it a couple of times but it's not very substantial. If you undercooked your potato then you will probably break it, so overcook them then you will get a better result. No promises though.I should have bought a better one from Lakeland because that probably would outlast this one.For the money I would have expected better.

It is so easy & quick to use - no more lumpy potatoes!
I like that it is not difficult to press down which concerned me. I find it hard to believe that the potatoes are mashed so easily. They look a bit strange but easily stirred with a bit of butter & cream into delicious mash.

Sturdy piece of kit.
This seems to be an exact copy of one I had for years before it broke. It seems very sturdy. I have riced a kilo of jacket potatoes without issue. Very pleased with it so far. Hope it lasts as long as the previous one.January and still going strong. I bake the potato, cut it in half, put it in the masher cut side down and squeeze the potato out. Remove potato skin from device. Feed it to the chickens or the dog.You can deep fry the skin and serve with a dip,

GREAT
Having mashed the old way for years and years the wife wanted to try a ricer. I cannot say that this one is better than any others but she loves it and I agree the mashed potatoes are far better. We have also boiled cabbage, onions and or garlic with the potatoes and these have blended in smoothly with the mash.It is easy to clean and use - no need for muscles.
