Finding this Vit. K product was a journey.I'm in my 60s. I started taking Vit. D3 to stave off bone weakness -- and found that my feet were affected; they felt dehydrated, uncomfortable to walk on. After reading up online, I learned about the importance of Vit. K as well as cod liver oil and how things work synergistically. And although I eat lots of organic vegetables, I have trouble absorbing nutrients (read: K). So I tried this product.Turns out that I also needed the K1. For about 6 months, my gums bled to a scary extent whenever I brushed. That problem has stopped.So I was feeling better. But bummer, the product didn't fix my limited tolerance of D3 supplements. My smart VA doc suggested that I try a liquid form of D3 -- and that fixed it. The rice bran oil in the softgel must be easier to absorb.Now, even though the Futurebiotics K is capsules with powder inside, they don't do that odd thing to my feet! I'm very glad I found them.Here's a postscript:My body must have accumulated enough K1 for clotting. I stopped tolerating regular doses of this supplement -- felt weakness behind one knee twice after taking it, which made me think: blood clot? I stopped and that symptom vanished. Haven't taken the supplement for weeks, no more odd weakness in the leg, and my gums remain normal. If they start bleeding again, I'll re-try taking the supplement. Meanwhile I've continued taking a drop of K2 with a softgel D3, but only a few times a week.

K2 is vital in the avoidance of arterial plaque formation. May also help by reducing the plaque already in place, but that isn't proven. Worth the time to discuss this with your physician.

Like they say, "it is what it is". It is assumed this supplement does what it's touted to do. That said, it is more readily available here, online, than at the local health food/vitamin store AND less expensive to boot.

I have a vitamin K deficiency and I have tried many kinds of K. This has K1 and 2 forms of K2 and helps more than anthing I have tried over the counter.

This nutrient is so important to accompany high dosage D, and this brand has all three K's.
