Wire Knits

I bought this book for my husband as he is the knitter. I loved the photos, and I wanted him to knit some of the jewelry. He never knitted before with wire. He was able to pick up the book and follow the directions. One thing I am learning that once you use the wire, you cannot undo it. If you make something and don't like it, don't plan on undoing it and reusing it to make something different. All in all, I think the jewelry is beautiful, but wire is rough and may not be as comfortable.

I have several wire knit books and I really like this one. It has some really pretty projects that are fun to do. They are also not too hard. The directions are easy to understand. There are also some wire crochet projects in this book that I have done and I don't crochet.

I've skimmed through it and haven't had time to make anything yet, but it's a great layout and will be anotehr great asset to my craft collection.Update: Yes, I originally gave this 3 stars because I hadn't completely read the book. I've since used it with groups and it's been one of the more popular books. THough many aren't up to the standard of the contents, they certainly found the book inspirational and in fact, gave them incentive to try different things. The photos are quite spectacular and the content easy to read.I would recommend this book to anyone who has an interest in wire and/or knitting.

The book is good full of great designs, however there are at least two misprints in this book I have found so far.page 30 (I increace at end only once on all rows making the counted stitches at end wronge, 6 not 7, 7 not 9, 8 not 11, and the cast off amount of stitches wronge cast off 4 not 7)page 56(I leave out row 8 all together)Well hope this helps if you come accross these troubles, I have only been knitting a few years so am no expert but my alterations work fine and the pieces look like the ones in the photos.

Good book. Includes pieces with ruffles, spiral designs, flowers and foliage.

There were some useful techniques explained, but the items themselves were a little but 'samey'. A good introduction to the basics, but not wildly exciting. Lacked the 'wow' factor
