Hesitate: A Bodyguard Romance (Guarding Her Book 6) Kindle Edition

Q was swoon-worthy. I could see the train wreck of his lies coming. I knew they were necessary for Madeline’s safety. I still knew my heart would break when her’s did, but I didn’t expect Q’s soft side would make me fall in love with him and my heart would break for him too. Sometimes doing the right things sucks. This was a sweet book with a bit of suspense, a couple of unexpected twists, and a solid HEA. It’s my first read of Anna Brooks’, but I didn’t feel lost starting the series with book 6. Now I hope Sadie and Brodie get together. I think he’s exactly what she needs.

Unquestionably one of the best series I've read!! Hesitate has some twists and turns and unbelievable passion you feel all throughout!! It is a BIG five swoon worthy stars from me!!

This is my first Guarding Her story, but I don't feel that I missed out...even if I wasn't already jonesing for Q's story. Q is hired to find Madeline, but once he gives the information to his client - luckily he senses all is not right with her story and decides to infiltrate Maddy's life to protect her from what he doesn't quite know. Unfortunately, Maddy falls for the man Q is pretending to be.He seems like the perfect man because he is playing a role. So when the truth comes out - you know it won't be pretty. "She stares at me, thinking I could give her the world. It's bittersweet, because she's what makes mine spin, yet I'm going to be the one who shatters hers."This book had romance, suspense, intrigue, and will keep you guessing. Watching these two fall in love, but knowing the betrayal is coming was hard. Seeing if these two can reunite and find real love - keeps you turning the pages.I voluntarily requested and read an advance reader copy.

I'm not sure how I went from Book 1 in the Guarding Her Series to Book 6 without reading all the books in the middle, but I could seriously kick myself as I fell in love with this series from the jump. Books with a big suspense factor are my weakness, because I only try to drop f-bombs during football & books (Of course it doesn't always work out since f-bomb dropping tends to be my happy place). Hesitate had a hero in Q, and heroine in Maddy, who I couldn't have loved more. You can tell from the blurb that she doesn't really know who he is though, while he shouldn't be crossing the lines he's crossing, but the heart wants what the heart wants. The twists are crazy, making loud f-bomb dropping commence, so yeah it's a great story. There's chemistry in spades, with feelings being caught, which also added to the greatness. Frankly, Hesitate was the perfect read in my opinion, and now I have to go back to read 2-5 of this serious because Anna Brooks has caught me big time, and I'm a big fan. Anyway, I always encourage everyone to hit their one click buttons to decide for themselves, but as for me?! I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL!

This was an enjoyable story following Q and Maddy. When Q is hired to find Maddy he starts to believe not everything is as it seems and decides to protect her. From the moment they meet you could feel the attraction. Despite the fact Q hasn't been entirely truthful I was still hopeful they could make it work as they worked as a couple. Maddy was a sweet woman but she had a steely determined side that she needed to survive her past. Q was a typical moody alpha and so stubborn but with Maddy we saw his vunerable side. There is a suspense element running throughout the story that kept me guessing. With twists and surprises and a revelation I never saw coming. I hadn't read the previous books but I will be going back to read them all.

I came upon this by chance and it sounded like it would be a good read. I was so wrong - it was a fantastic read! Q &Madeline where great characters. Maddie was beautiful, curvy woman who needed protection from her own mother. Q was her protector. Q felt responsible for giving Maddie’s mother her address and he felt something was not on the up and up. Q decides to observe Maddie to make sure she is safe. Q was already in love with Madeline and knew once she found out about him it would be over. This story was original, great storyline. There was drama, suspense, intrigue, danger. Also the story has tender, loving moments, between Q and Madeline as their relationship evolves. Their chemistry is sizzling hot. Great story, great characters, great read! This was a first time author for me and I am so glad I found her. Hesitate is the book 6 in the Guarding Her series by Anna Brooks and what a story this is. Right from the start we are taken on a fact paced, emotional ride. The instant chemistry between these characters are page burning with a captivating story that has all these little twist and turns that kept me hooked from the beginning.Maddy is just trying to live her days the best she can. But a chance encounter with Q at a bar flips her world around and around again.Q working a security opens his next case file and instant need to protect overtakes him. Listening to his gut feeling he goes off blind in trying to protect Maddy. But as the lines become blurry, and outside forces force there way in things can get a little out of control.I enjoyed reading this story because of the fast paced tone and the insta connections with all the little details. Can't wait to read more.

Hesitate is the 6th book in the Guarding Her series. Every time I finish one of Anna's books I think to myself & "this is my new favorite guy!" I loved Q and Madeline's story. When I first started reading I had no idea where this story was going, but let me assure you you'll want to slap Roxy when you're done. I cannot even fathom the hell the Madeline had to grow up with. I guess that's partly why I was so happy that Q found her. I felt that their situation was written perfectly. I loved that he wanted to wait until she knew who he really was. Q holds a special place in my heart. Of course he is your typical alpha protector but he also has a vulnerability that I really fell for. Hesitate was beautifully written and had me swooning the entire time.

I really didn't see Q as what he turned out to be in the end. Really enjoyed both characters & the story.
