Well designed and works as expected
[Overview]I purchased this to generate hypochlorous acid for external use for atopic dermatitis (allergic eczema) at home. This is an electronically controlled electrolysis device that generates a chlorine ion solution from water and food-grade salt; the solution can then be "optimized" for hypochlorate ion by adding distilled vinegar (or other acid). If used in a different way, the electrolysis system can also generate "degreaser" (potassium hydroxide) from potassium carbonate. The box included the machine, cable and adapter, instructions, a measuring spoon, and a container with potassium carbonate.[Pros]This is a very well designed product, in my opinion. It comes with clear instructions how to produce the chlorine solution (how much and what kind of water and salt to add - tap water and food-grade salt should work just fine), how to "optimize" its pH for hypochlorous acid by adding a little distilled vinegar, and how to produce "degreaser" using different instructions. The product is well designed (in terms of the shape - handle, spout - most convenient). It comes with clear instructions. There are three settings for producing difference concentrations of hypochlorate, and if run twice in a row at the highest setting, the device does produce approximately 200 ppm solution for use on eczema. It also works exactly as expected (I tested the electrolyzed solution test strips independently from the ones provided with this product).[Cons]As stated by the manufacturer, like any electrolysis system, it is not expected to last forever (they estimate 5-10 years, and I cannot attest to that; at some point, the system will corrode). Nevertheless, if it lasts that long, given how convenient it is to use, this is a cheap alternative to purchasing pre-made over-the-counter hypochlorous acid solutions for external use on atopic dermatitis. Another thing to note is that the manufacturer suggests adding 1 tsp of vinegar per liter of solution to "optimize" its pH for hypochlorate; however, my definition of "optimal" is based on the scientific literature - pH of about 4.5 - and to do that I needed to add considerably more vinegar than the manufacturer suggested. I recommend using pH test paper or a pH meter to figure out how much acetic acid you need to add to "optimize" the pH to your desired level.

Awesome unit!
I love this thing! I think I have made 5 batches this week. I use this stuff in a spray bottle an keep in the kitchen and bathroom. I spray down the counters before I cook, I spray my sponges after I use them, I sanitize everything. This cleaner is very safe, doesn't corrode things like bleach, doesn't bleach clothes or towels. It's so safe you can wash vegetables with it. Google it and you will be amazed. I have tested my batches, and if you run it twice @ 8 mins each it is right at 200ppm for 1 liter. You just use salt without potassium(which is not included like some reviews say) and a little vinegar. The unit comes with potassium carbonate to make KOH degreaser as well. I made this and it works, I just don't use it as much, mostly to clean the stove. It doesn't seem to start losing its potency for over a week. The only downside I see is the initial cost. The cheaper units may work just as well, but this is well made, and makes two cleaners.

Creates safe hypochlorous acid
This product does what it promises. Using everyday table salt, you can create 1 liter of non toxic disinfectant. Hypochlorous Acid is a scientifically proven disinfectant and safe for all uses. This is good if you use it one liter at a time. It will get challenging if you need to make large quantities since it takes approximately 8-10 minutes to electrolyze another batch. The disinfectant smells like a swimming pool when initially stayed but becomes odorless when dry. I am pleased with this product to create a safe non toxic disinfectant for my family.

Works tested with chlorine strip
I tested the finished product with a chlorine strip and it reads around 200 ppm. Money saving since a gallon of hypoclorous acid goes for around $40. Though most hospital grade is 500ppm and 200ppm should be enough for most viruses. Im a teacher and use this to spray between each class love it. I use a hair mist bottle to mist on air and surfaces.I do notice the solution degrades after a week of sitting around. Retested and went down to 100-150 ppm. I recooked the same soultion retested without adding any more salt or vinegar and went back up to 200ppm. I suggest using small batches and remaking.

So easy to make hypochlorous acid in minutes at home!
I love this machine! I've made numerous batches so far, and I'm amazed at how easy it is to quickly make a batch. For cleaning, I run it through the machine twice for a stronger mix. The machine is pricy, but I'm guessing that it pays for itself since you can make it all at home. The directions are easy to follow, and almost fool-proof. I also love that you can use this non-toxic cleaner for cutting boards, sponges, counters, cleaning your veggies, etc...

Satisfied!
Totally satisfied with my purchase for our home use. My daughter and I both work in separate dental offices and they have the exact same thing there.

High Quality Product, Works as Described, Very Happy with Purchase
Very easy to use. Made first batch of 100 ppm HOCI in less than 10 min. Used distilled water & added vinegar as recommended to balance pH. Tested with test strip & solution was spot-on at 100 ppm. Have used in kitchen for over 2 weeks & it cleans/sanitizes like a champ. Doesn't leave a film after drying like some store-bought products do. High quality materials & construction. Looks like it will last for years. Highly recommended.

I use the machine to make HOCL to clean my dogs. Try to replace store buy cleaner. Not sure how it works but the customer service is good . The first machine was broken after few use but they replaced them right away. Second one work good so far.

House has never looked cleaner
Living on a well, septic system I bought the shine automate toilet cleaner and was so impressed I started investigating HOCL to use around the house and decided that this unit was the best for me as I didn’t want to buy pods and wanted a solution that could be brewed at different strengths, wasn’t harsh or bad for the septic system and was pet safe. I don’t regret my purchase as my shower and sinks have never looked cleaner and don’t require the weekly heavy duty scrubbing and chemical bath. I just mist them at night and poof.. I also like that I can spray things down and not worry about the dog like I did with all the cleaners that have the explosion & poison warning on them that I would have to then make sure I cleaned/wiped off the surfaces.

Good quality!
This is my second EcoOne I have. The HOCl solution is a good disinfecting / cleaning for most of the stuffs around the house. If spraying on metal like stainless steel or iron, it needs to be wiped out ASAP to avoid corrosions.
