Was an excellent book. I highly recommend it if you're interested in mexican brujeria. Certainly worth a read! So glad to have it part of my collection!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I felt it was a great introduction to the Mexican practice of magic and offers really great, easy to implement spiritual exercises that are simple and do not require a laundry list of items. I enjoyed the dialogue of the saints (and folk too) and really like that it was focused on educating, but doing so in a way thats easily digestible and readable. I connected with the author following my completion of the book and scheduled a reading. It was an excellent reading and loved his dialogue of loteria in the book and seeing how he applies it in a reading (my first of this kind)! I am so excited to see what else comes from the authors and can't wait to learn more! I WANT MORE! :)!!!! Thank you for this book and thank you for giving a voice to the latin community and sharing your traditional healing and practices!

While this was an interesting read, I am not a Catholic influenced practitioner in any way shape or form. Therefore this didn’t provide me with much I could adapt into my practice as an Indio Mexican. If you are mestizo or don’t mind Catholic influence in your practice this could be for you.

I have been working hard to decolonize all aspects of my life including my craft. This was so helpful. It was also comforting to see so many things that my Nana used to do when I was a child. I’ve been taught how to do cleansings with an egg but never to read it for other things. I recently did this for my sister in law and immediately afterwards she started feeling better. I’m so thankful for this book and being able to connect me closer to my roots.

Nice pamphlet like book to add to my collection. Helps me to understand those who hold onto Catholicism and still practice craft. I just wish the whole Latinx terminology was not used but it seems towards the end of the book this term started falling off. This book reminds me of my grandma. I inherited her amulets and charms.
