I get one of these tear off calendars every year. It is sturdy and perfect for someone with not perfect vision.

Does the job!
I've found that since retirement (without a regular work routine) - and even more so at present - keeping track of days and dates can sometimes be a bit of challenge. This just sits on a bookshelf above my desk in the lounge, and is large enough and clear enough to be seen around the room, without taking up too much space. It's inexpensive (esp compared to some shop sold equivalents) so is spot on for my needs. The torn off pages make useful liitle sheets for notes, shopping, reminders etc.

Clear dates and days which are easily read. Unfortunately the support isn't sturdy enough to continually keep the calander upright
