Mega Man Gigamix Volume 1 (MEGA MAN GIGAMIX TP)

a book that stays really close to the games.
this book remains true to the series with very little change. the changes i speak of are things the games dont cover like the boss robots personalities or the characters relationship with each other.the megamix and gigamix series seem to share alot of simularities to the archie comic series.the stories in the series are pretty good , like where everyone thought megaman went bad but turned out it was megamans clone from the first game and he really thought he was megaman.if you like reading megaman as much as playing the games you can't go wrong here.

Nice!
This book is very good. Very nicely done, and great stories. I might buy these books for my oldest brother, as he's a huge Mega Man fan. Respect to the makers of these books.

Ariga at his best
Overall, the Gigamix series is much better than the Megamix series, meaning that Megamix was awesome and Gigamix is orders of magnitude more awesome. Volume 1 of Gigamix fills in the story of Mega Man 3 that was only summed up in one page of Volume 1 of Megamix. Also, they actually did something interesting with Battle & Chase. I would definitely recommend this to any Mega Man fan.

First story is excellent, second story fun but not great.
Excellent artwork. The two stories in this Gigamix Volume 1 are: Asteroid Blues and Burning Wheel. Each story takes up half the book.Asteroid Blues is superb. The artwork is excellent, the story is interesting and has a serious tone/atmosphere to it. There are about a dozen recognizable robots from the Mega Man series. Drawings are similar to the cover and the quality is present throughout. I loved the first story although I feel the ending is too short/quick.The second story, Burning Wheel is more cartoony, has jokes, and is much less serious in tone. I wasn't a fan of the second story. It's about a race, the "Battle and Chase" race, and I didn't enjoy it as much. But the artwork is still great.Because this is Manga, the artwork is all black & white, and you read the book backwards which does not take anything away from what we are normally used to in US comics.I really enjoyed the small pencil drawings of Dr. Wily's robots in the beginning of the book. Recommended if you are a Megaman fan.

Ariga is back!
Gigamix is the more recent sequel to Megaman Megamix. Hitoshi Ariga once again shows that he gets what a Megaman story should be. This particular volume covers the events of Megaman 3, and Megaman Battle & Chase. The Battle & Chase story is one of the weaker ones, but provides a light hearted breather from the darker stories that precede and follow it.

That was AWESOME!
The race was better than the main story=D The has done megaman 1-7 and 9(the megaman 9 manga came with a japanese cd)but still hasn't done 8 and 10, but oh well. But still the gigamix series is better than megamix.I recomend this to anyone who is a fan of megaman or just likes robots and explosions and action=D
