1984

This book was simply mesmerising. Preferring to keep off spoilers, the most I can say is that it sounds like something that could very easily have been true. The realists would love to argue, I get it, but imagine if control over humanity was this absolute.Oh, no spoilers lol.Anyhow, I abso-fricking-lutely recommend it if you're into literary fiction.Thanks for going through this.

One of my most favorite books ... which I studied during my college days as literature and I remember a lot from this book even after 40 years. Though very depressing but one of the classics - satire and political profound and psychologically disturbing. Big Brother is watching you.... has become very relevant in current times. George orwell was way ahead in imagining TV screen , thought reading and even inventing new language -

George Orwell's 1984 is a timeless classic! I bought the book as per specifications "HARDCOVER", though it is a paperback, the front cover is not same too! But that did not keep me from reading the book. I thought i would return it, but not now!

Awesome storytelling. Riveting. Believable.A book that shows you the power and the pitfalls of human hope. A contrast to Ayn Rand’s, “The Fountainhead”. Both highlight the importance of a free thinking and progressive society.

As I finish the book, I am sad and helpless. This book strikes a chord! Can't recommend it enough! Five stars

Thought drilling. George Orwell and his imagination is amazing, every time I read his works. I must say that this book is well written.

Great book.Orwell was either ahead of his time or just aware of the subtle narrative being used during hit lifetime and had an understanding of what could come.Very eye opening to the tactics used in today's political arena.

O livro mostra de maneira espetacular como seria uma sociedade dos sonhos dos comunistas, eles sempre se escondem atrás do sonho da sociedade perfeita mais o final é sempre o mesmo: ditadura e censura um pequeno grupo doutrinando e esmagando a maioria e vivendo uma vida de privilégios.
