Good Housekeeping All-Metal 12” Retro Table Fan in Matte Black

So I was looking for a Vintage Style Fan to place on top of my Vintage Stereo Cabinet. Something that oscillated also. I ALMOST pulled the trigger on the $180 Vornado Swam Alchemy. It's a gorgeous looking fan but the price tag pushed me away. Then I remembered how good Hunter Ceiling Fans were. I noticed the 5 Blade and 4 Blade versions at the same price of $60. The 4 Blade had the switch in the front and the 5 in the back on top of the motor. In the past I always noticed the more blades the quieter it was where less blades did have less drag on the motor but had higher wind noise. I'm sooo glad I purchased this. Build quality is solid! Very quiet on low and a light wind noise on high. WAAAAAAY less than my plastic fans. Pushes a decent amount of air too! Well worth the $60 shipped!!! I ordered the matte black one to match my stereo equipment and now thinking of ordering the brushed nickel for another room. Great job Hunter!

I wanted a fan that would last. I wasn't particularly expecting to find one that "looked" as good as this fan. Trust me - this Hunter 12" fan is well built, solid, makes little to no noise, and has 5 blades. Cools what you would expect from a 12" fan. You can set it to oscillate or to be stationary. U.S.A. company - shipped out of the State of Georgia. IF I needed one for each room, this is the fan I would buy again. 5 year limited warranty on the motor - look for the information in the provided booklet. BONUS! No assembly needed. Ready to go right out of the box. The electrical cord is solid with a grounded plug. This fan looks nice!

This is a beautiful fan. It is matte black and not shiny. It would work well in a modern home, farmhouse or any house. It’s got a classic look. It has 3 fan speed settings and the low setting is quiet and great for leaving on while sleeping. This fan is not too small like some of the desk fans and not so big and bulky that it takes up too much space in the room. It’s perfect.

I like the look and the solidness of this fan. Also it looks easy to remove cover for cleaning. It circulates the air and makes good white noise for sleeping. I was so happy I purchased a 2nd for my son’s bedroom.

Absolutely well built, solid construction, used everyday and clean when we remember. After 2 ears of use the fan is still going strong!For it's size and because of it's solid construction it is a little heavy. But this is to be expected due to the metal housing and these days it's rare to find this quality in workmanship! 👍

I really like the metal design, it's a good unit it's air moving force is excellent. Unfortunately the previous fan was quieter and we use this in the bedroom to keep the air moving while we sleep.I contemplated returning it, but we'll just keep it.

I use this fan for white noise at night as I try to sleep.As a fan, it works great. As white noise it works well, but I would prefer that it be a little louder.I have very exacting standards when it comes to fan sound; so this is not really a complaint.All fans like to brag about how whisper quiet they are, but this is not what I want.So this is a great fan. It just needs to be a noisier to be perfect for me.I hope this is of help.

I love this fan!!! Use it every night to sleep. It’s quiet with making just enough white noise. Very powerful and looks great
