I'm a fan of this door handle. The SmartKey Security is impressive,easy to use. The Venetian Bronze Finish gives it an elegant look that fits perfectly with my decor. The installation was easy! Highly recommended!

We bought a new house that had been a rental and it seemed every door had a different key. We called the local locksmith and they quoted us $20-$25 per lock to rekey them all to the same key. It was actually cheaper to buy these and replace them myself and key them all the same. So it saved me money and replaced the old beat up handles with pretty new ones. The handles seem to be good quality and came with everything you need to install them on pretty much any door. Rekeying them to the same key takes seconds and is very simple. By the end (I installed 11 of these) I was knocking them out in a couple minutes (removing the old, installing the new and rekeying). I don't know how the locksmiths stay in business, this purchase was way easier, cheaper and looks way better. I'd highly recommend it! I bought these for the doors without deadbolts and the combo pack for doors with the deadbolt and they matched perfectly and all were easy to install.

It was Easy to relock and simple to install

Quality of this knob set & lock is good. The instructions are so-so -- a bit confusing at points, but okay if you follow them closely or have installed other knob sets. I was replacing a 9-year-old Kwitset knob set because the turn button on the interior knob stopped working. I called Kwitset and they told me it couldn't be fixed. Kwitset's "lifetime" guarantee applies only to the original purchaser, they said.The removal of the defective knob set and the installation of this new one took me about 40 minutes, which included removing the latch after I had it installed because I failed to reset the spring pin on the latch for the 2-3/4" backset of the door. The latch has two setting lengths, and you'll know if you have it set to the wrong length once you try to put on the knobs.The SmartKey rekeying worked for me the first time, making it very easy to reset the new lock for my old key which also opens the deadbolt, as well as the other door to the house. Follow the directions closely. Among other things, the directions say: "Insert the SmartKey tool fully and firmly into the hold." Note that the it only goes in about 1/4 inch. You don't want to keep pushing because you'll bend the little tool. And this is important: Your key (the key you want to use) must be a KW1 type key, or it will NOT work in the Kwitset lock. Chances are it will work because KW1 is the most common key type. But I'm told, for example, that Schlage uses a different key type, so you may not be able to rekey the Kwitset lock for a Schlage key. Also note that the "What's in the Box" description on the Amazon site is incomplete. It mentions one knob. This product includes two knobs: an exterior keyed knob (shown in the Amazon picture), and an interior knob with a turn button, also called a thumb turn.

Well made door knob that doesn’t require a PhD to install.

This is easy to install and easy to rekey.

I love the door knob. It is very sturdy and the lock can not be picked. I locked the keys in the house and a locksmith could not pick it for us. He had to drill the knob to get it off just so we could get in.

I replaced the knobs and rekeyed this lock to match the locks in my house. Works fine.

The re-key is really useful. It is easy to install and re-key. I use the knob for my main entry door. I have another Weiser knob and deadbolt (with re-key) on my garage door. The keys are compatible after re-key. Now I can just bring one key for both entrance.
