DerwentMetallic Paint 12 Pan Palette

These are so good and handy as a travel pack as well. The colours are bright and vibrant and very easy to use for beginners and children. We love painting with these and take them on our picnics in the handy case and water brush. Perfect! Looking at getting more colours now.

The price of this on Black Nov was very good however the overall metallic effect was disappointing.I am an experienced watercolour artist and use a variety of materials , paper , brushes etc to achieve the desired effect. Hopefully I will be able to make some use of these paints or at least have some fun.

I brought these to bring a bit of an iridescent touch to my intense pencils

Applies really nicely nice intensity if you build up layers. The golds are particularly good when applied and the dry brushed over a dark washGreat prompt service too

This wasn't a good experience, especially since I like Derwent's other products and have quite a few of them. These 'metallic' colours can just about be called that in 3-4 out of 12. Now we can do tricks, use black paper, stand on our heads to force some shine out of these paints - but why? Kuretake produces excellent metallic/pearlescent paints, and in the case of Kuretake the shine is obvious and clearly displayed for all to see, on any paper. Therefore, while Derwent is certainly a respectable manufacturer, on this occasion I can't recommend their product, as Kuretake's is by far better.

Just started painting and first time I’ve used metallic paint. Did a painting with conventional water colours and mix of metallic paint was easy to use. Would recommend, colours are lovely.

Very good selections of metallic colours, a great addition to my watercolours. Very good value for money.

I usually love Derwent but sadly not this time.Wanted to jazz up an Easter card for great granddaughter but these paints aren't showing metallic at all. Really disappointed :(
