LavaLock8" aluminum pinwheel bbq smoker pit intake blade damper vent set

I rebuilt an offset smoker and needed an air intake damper on the firebox to control the temperature. I purchased this and made my cuts on the steel and mounted this damper. It works really well to control the amount of flame.

Put this on our smoker at work and it made an awesome difference. Original design called for the fire box door being left open to adjust air flow but had way too much heat loss.

I bought this to affix to my small, homemade wooden smokehouse. It is as large as it is advertised. The wheel is stiff but turns properly. The only reason I didn’t give it a five is because screws and a pattern would have been helpful, but I suppose they figure most people are buying it as a replacement and not a new attachment. I also added a gasket to the rim just to enhance the seal.

Much better air flow after adding this vent to my smoker. Good quality. Easy to install.

Husband used to vent bbq pit. Worked well. Sturdy. Good price.

It doesn't open and close very well. I can make it work but isn't as good as what I was expecting.

Works perfectly on my 4x4 smokehouse. Very happy with these!
