Great Antioxident
Astaxathin is a great supplement. It is an antioxidant as well as protects you from viruses. This is a reputable brand, albeit expensive. Algae is a superfood and this is derived from algae. This is in capsule form and is easy to take.

Expensive products.
I've read Dr. Myers diet book and like the idea of her supplements that she backs up with research. I also have heard about amazing benefits of Astaxanthin. I've taken vegetarian forms before, but this has fish gelatin in it, which really turns me off. I'm super picky, so I have trouble taking this.

Didn't do much for me
First time taking an astaxanthin supplement and, quite honestly, it didn't do much for me.Maybe it was doing some good "behind the scenes," but I didn't notice improved skin, less joint pain, or improved cognition. I actually felt a bit odd after taking these.Hopefully this supplement can help others. Just not for me.

Expensive
This is rather expensive for a month's supply. I usually take these to help my eyesight. And this one does do that. Astaxanthin is also good for brain and heart health. Most benefits you can't really see if they are working or not. These are easy on my stomach, though they don't seem to be softgels as advertised.

Lots of health claims, very possible that some are true
Astaxanthin is a naturally occuring carotenoid in fish, shrimp and some algea, it appears this particular brand is derived from algea based on the labeling.I am in my 3rd month of taking this supplement and have tried various brands all with similar/same dosage.I honestly cannot tell whether or not it's working internally, I haven't had a physical yet in 2022 so I will need to update once my cholesterol levels come back. I was borderline and I am overweight so it will have to work hard without me taking a dive on the scale. I have naturally low blood pressure so it probably wouldn't make a difference there.Joint mobility and pain hasn't improved in any significant manner and I also take collagen peptides. There was some improvement with the peptides but that leveled a couple months ago and the astaxanthin didn't seem to make more of a difference. My skin has been looking amazing for the last 3 months but again, better skin care regimen and the daily collagen peptides could also be helping with that. Nothing significant since adding Astaxanthin to my daily supplement regimen. So basically I am not not saying it works and I'm not saying it doesn't. Supplements are tricky and unless professional monitored it can be tough to figure out if some are working. One thing though, this supplement is readily available on Amazon so I would not pay the listed price for this just because the label is back by some doctor. There are less costly options.

No Discernible Taste
Astaxanthin, Dr. Amy Myers brandThere is no discernible taste to these astaxanthin capsules as far as I can tell. Easy size to swallow, and no after-burps to put up with. This product pricing though is beyond the upper end of the average astaxanthin I use. Far above, and requires two capsules per 12 mg serving instead of a single capsule.Dr. Amy Myers brand astaxanthin does have a few things going for it also though. this is non-GMO, GMP certified and soy-free. All of those a plus in my world. If the price isn't a barrier and the smaller capsule is needed, this would worth a try IMO.

🤔 ill prob just alternate with my reg ones..
...well not thrilled they are only 6 mg each.....not sure about the dried inside a capsule thing... mine have all been liquid filled gels..And my go to's are all 12mg in one pill... ( usually i get sports research, bioastin Hawaii, and bulk supp brands)I had really liked her books etc... but ive had 3 supps now that were inferior to my regs so im feelin like its a " lemme stick my name on a line" thing without bein sure the quality is there...Im a big fan of astaxanthin..i ran out a bit ago and my eyesight declined..id forgotten how much these help ( asta crosses blood eye barrier)... also use for joint and as sunscreen protection..🌊 🦐🦀🐚critters have asta in case they wash up on shore n get baked in the sun🌞 till tide comes back... it lets me skip sunscreen for 4 hr stints gardenin, use less sunscreen for longer, and gives my skin a nicer colour when i tan ( bit of a reddish brownish tone,In a good way lol, similar to how carrot gives me golden) btw it takes 2 wks on 12 mg to get sun protection..🌞I wouldn't buy again, and im not sure of potency, so ill prob just use 1 or 2 serv a week but stick to my others...🐈🐈🐈

Nice, but seems expensive
I like this astaxanthin so far, but it doesn’t seem that different from the others that are on the market, yet it’s a lot more expensive. I do, however, trust the products from Dr. Amy Myers, so I suppose that’s something in this product’s favor; I just don’t know if it’s enough to keep me buying this astaxanthin over another, less expensive one.Astaxanthin carries a lot of benefits for the heart, skin, and immune system. I have Ehler-Danlos syndrome, and it is supposed to help with pain in joints. So far it does seem to be helping with the crawling skin pains and general pain I have on a regular basis, but does it help more than the other products I use? I’m not sure yet?I also find the capsules that this astaxanthin uses a bit more difficult to swallow, since they are larger, and they feel a bit dry in my mouth, if that makes sense. Overall, I am pleased with this product. I’ve had no negative reaction, it does what it says it will, and it agrees with my system. I’m a bit uneasy with the price though, which is why I’ve given it four stars instead of five. I still recommend it though, since it comes from a great, trusted brand with research backing its usage.
