Where do I even start with this!?!
The sad thing about this whole ordeal is that I didn't even realise this was a COMPLETELY different book until I got halfway through the second chapter!! I just trusted that it was going somewhere because of the mention of organised crime being heavily romanticised by the Godfather movies! Alas....noNot only is this Oxford Handbook of on Aesthetics actually The Oxford Handbook of ORGANIZED CRIME, but half the pages are missing and it skips from chapter 5 to chapter 24!The spine of the book is also completely bodged! It's supposed to be brand new!!I paid over £40 for this and I am honestly shocked!Amazon's response? Just send it back and we will refund you so you can reorder!!??A book on ORGANISED crime masquerading as a book on Aesthetics is ironically one of the sneakiest crimes I've come across on here!!Check your book!!! Especially if you're the type to slide it straight into your bookcase!

excellent overview
An excellent overview of aesthetics theory. I use it for my graduate level class every semester. Includes early and current work, and is broken into useful genres/issues. Most are accessible for students who have not done much aesthetics theory. As long as the student has good critical thinking skills in any arts discipline, they will be fine with this reader. Highly recommend as an introductory and overview reader.
