This Ternos 40mm diver wrist watch is, in my humble opinion, in a class by itself. It is a real Gem to own and a real Joy to wear. All the materials used in the craftsmanship, the detailed designing, the spectacular operation, and overall functionality characteristics all combine to produce a truly exceptional watch of the Highest Quality. To begin with, the case itself is all about aesthetics and fully symmetrical styling, with pleasing dimensions and clean lines, all finished to a very high polish. The black dial is immaculately clean and glossy with very attractive hour markers that glow sufficiently in total darkness. The ceramic bezel is a real beauty also, smooth and shiny with perfectly finished numbers/markers, and the rotating action is simply superb, the 120 click bezel has just the proper tension to make turning it enjoyable (and fun as well.). The overall operation of the crown is fantastic - it is very precise and easy to use. It unscrews easily, winds effortlessly, sets the date and time (hacking) easily, and screws down back into place solid, secure, and water tight. Also, the operational aspects of this watch so far have been incredible, with a very high degree of accuracy, ticking only a couple seconds fast each day. Of course, with the highly acclaimed Swiss ETA 2824 movement, that is what can be expected. In short, this beautiful watch is elegance and functionality at its finest, and is a real Joy to own and a real pleasure to wear. Buy this watch and you won’t have any regrets - on the contrary, you’ll be happy that you did. This fine watch is constructed so well that I expect to have it for many, many years. Finally, I wish to close by mentioning that the friendly, courteous, and helpful people at the Davosa Company are a real pleasure to do business with - they have treated me with total respect and are most accommodating with any/all issues that I may have. They are true watch professionals of the highest degree and they make customer satisfaction to be their Highest Priority! Oh yes, I almost forgot to mention the amazing Sapphire Crystal - It must be seen in person to get the full feeling and impact that it exudes. The Sapphire Crystal I incredibly hard and durable and will never scratch. It will remain clear and luminous for a lifetime. It is so cool to feel the unique texture, the smoothness, and to look at the colorful hues that emanates off the surface. Also, the attractive “Cyclops” eye magnifier is a real bonus and just adds another dimension to this most exquisite personal Timepiece! (Additional review update one week later.). My initial review had to be abruptly ended due to lack of time, so if I may, I will mention the beautiful band. This stunningly attractive band is a very pretty brushed stainless steel consisting of medium size individual links with tiny screws for ultra-easy adjustment. The “sheen” of the band is simply magnificent, being right in the middle between too glossy and too dull. The band finish is brushed metal on top, and nicely accentuated with highly-polished sides. The clasp is quite easy to use, and secures it in place completely. The clasp is equipped with a smaller cover clip that adds to a secure setting. Also, on the opposite end of the clasp piece is an additional extension to allow for garment fitting. A really classy touch is the Davosa name lightly engraved on the small cover clip. Finally, the band width is just the proper size at 20mm. This beautiful band appears to be absolutely ideal for the case & dial, making this a very unique timepiece as a complete package. If the amazing Sapphire Crystal is the “sweet cherry on top,” then this gorgeous stainless steel band is the “icing on the cake.” I must comment that the band came out of the box entirely smooth, clean, shiny, and totally blemish free. In summary, this beautiful watch is a classic combination of looks and function, being both sporty & elegant at the same time. For me, I can honestly say that, for the price, this Diver watch is, quite simply PERFECT! P.S.: The movement is so good, so accurate, so precise, and so reliable that I must mention that it is ticking at only one or two seconds fast each day - I love it!

If you are looking for a high quality watch this is the watch for you. My husband has been a Rolex wearer for over 25 years.He could not be more happy with the looks, design and craftsmanship of this watch. It is so nice to have such a nice timepiece that does not break the bank. He actually sold his Rolex and now wears this watch as a daily watch. He loves the look of the blue face diver and later on would like to get that one too. I can't wait until they design these for women. I would highly recommend to anyone wanting a beautiful timepiece with exceptional quality at a affordable price to buy this watch!!!!!

This watch appeared to have good quality but after a few short months the winding mechanism had issues and that is where the trouble started. Although Davosa stood good and took it back for warranty the substantial waiting period is uncalled for. I was told it went to a place called NY Watch Lab but the funny part is when I wanted to contact that business separately to check the status of the watch without going through DAVISA their website is not available and I cannot find a telephone number. The timepieces by Davosa are acceptable, but as I can see now not for the price when you incorporate the issues in the event service is needed. Also, having to have the entire mechanism replaced, as per Davosa USA, for a four or five month old watch is completely unacceptable. If you buy, pray it works and does not need service from Davosa.

With just a little more attention to detail and this would be the perfect watch for the man on the go or adventurer.

The 40mm case is too small for my 7" wrist. Look very awkward....returning it for a 42mm version.

I always wanted a good Submariner homage. First I got a Stienhart Ocean One which I love but it's a 42mm case. Real Submariners are 40mm and so is the Davosa. The Amazon Davosa Ternos specs say that the bracelet is 22mm. Thank God it's not. It's 20mm wide. The finishing on the whole watch is top notch luxurious unlike my Stienhart with its aluminium bezel is very utilitarian looking which I like for that watch. The only big difference between the Davosa and a real Submariner lookswise is the numbets on the bezel. The Davosa has fat square numbers where as the Submariner and the Stienhart have more narrow numbers on the bezel. The Davosa bezel action is excellent. No alignment issues anywhere. It's comfortable and has a smooth second hand movement sweep. The crown is big but I like it. I'm so glad I finally pulled the trigger on it. It came via DHL which has excellent instant tracking. DHL uses what I call hot dog bubble wrap. Nearly indestructible.

Wow, I am very impressed with this watch. I wore the Invicta version of this watch the 9937 for 13+ years. The Invicta was a great watch. I rarely took it off and wore it 24-7. Well it bit the dust a few weeks ago and I decided to purchase the Davosa Ternos.I could not be happier. This watch is really nice and well made. The ceramic dial and the sapphire crystal is an eye catcher. You can see the difference between the ceramic and the anodized dial.If you look at the Invicta watch the sapphire crystal is nice also, not a scratch on it and it looks a good as it did the day I bought it. I would highly recommend a sapphire lens on any watch you purchase. I've had mineral lenses and they scratch easily.I have nothing negative to say about the Davosa I only hope it gives me the same longevity as the invicta.I would recommend this watch to a friend.

Es un reloj con unos acabados sublimes. Maquinaria suiza, bisel cerámico, cristal zafiro, acero de calidad. No he tenido que ajustarle la marcha por la buena precisión de este calibre. En fin, a quien le gusten los diver, recomendación absoluta.

Risponde pienamente alle aspettative, ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo, soddisfacente l‘estetica,ottimo il movimento.... un classico da consigliare! E poi... soddisfatto il destinatario!

Seit gestern habe ich also diese Uhr mit Ceramic-Lünette und bin begeistert.Sie fühlt sich insgesamt sehr schwer aber gut an. Alles sitzt und passt perfekt.Die Gangenauigkeit liegt bei mir in den ersten 24 Stunden bei minus 8 Sek./Tag. Das ist eigentlich schon ein sehr guter Wert, aber vielleicht korrigiert sich das noch nach der Einlaufphase in Richtung null.Das Armband ist voll massiv, also kein gefaltetes Blech. Die einzelnen Glieder haben vom Bandanstoß bis zum Verschluss die gleiche Dicke. Das Band lässt sich leicht mit entsprechendem Werkzeug kürzen, die Glieder sind verschraubt. Der Verschluss rastet sauber ein und lässt sich völlig normal wieder lösen. Auch der Sicherungsbügel sitzt perfekt. Lediglich Verschluss und Band klingen - völlig entgegen der hervorragenden Optik - etwas blechern.Uhrzeit und vor allem das Datum lassen sich hervorragend ablesen, die Lupe vergrößert entsprechend groß.Die Maße der Davosa entsprechen dem Vorbild Submariner und wirken daher nicht so klobig wie manche Nachmacherprodukte, die mit 42 mm großem Gehäuse und 22 mm Bandanstoß aufwarten, wie z.B. die Revue Thommen (nach der Übernahme durch Davosa bekanntlich aus dem gleichen "Stall") und mir zu groß wären.Ein Tip: Die Davosa gibt es mit zwei verschiedenen Lünetten. Einmal aus Alu und (teurer) mit Ceramic-Lünette.Die Alu-Lünette hat - wie das große Vorbild auch - in den Ziffernbereichen zwischen null und drei (fünfzehn) jeweils vier Einzelstriche zwischen den Ziffern. Die Ceramic-Lünette jeweils nur drei.Hier muss man sich entscheiden: Ceramic wirkt deutlich wertiger als Alu. Dagegen ist die Alu-Lünette deutlich näher am "Vorbild" Submariner und etwas preiswerter.Ich hatte mich für die Ceramic-Version entschieden und bin sehr froh darüber, jetzt, wo ich die Uhr in Händen halte.Fazit: Sie erhalten für kleines Geld (404 €, also deutlich unter dem empf. VK-Preis!)) eine hervorragend verarbeitete Uhr mit entsprechender Optik. Wie ich in Erfahrung gebracht habe, wird diese Ternos von Davosa nicht mehr produziert.Also, sichern Sie sich eine, bevor es keine mehr gibt.Von mir: Fünf Sterne und 100%ige Kaufempfehlung.Desweiteren haben Kauf und Zustellung der Uhr bei Amazon mal wieder sehr gut funktioniert.Aber Achtung: Im Foto ist die Uhr mit Alu-Lünette abgebildet. Sie erhalten aber - so war es zumindest bei mir - wie gewünscht und beschrieben die Ceramic-Version !Zusatzbemerkung: 30.04.2014:Nachdem ich die Uhr nun ein paar Tage habe, hat sich die Ganggenauigkeit des Werkes nach der Einlaufphase deutlich verbessert. Die Genauigkeit hat sich inzwischen bei sagenhaften plus 1 sec./24 Std. eingependelt, was meine Freude über den Kauf der Davosa Ternos noch weiter erhöht. Ich bin restlos zufrieden.Nachtrag:Heute ist der 14.10.2020. Ich habe meine Davosa jetzt sechseinhalb Jahre, trage sie immer noch fast täglich und bin nach wie vor restlos begeistert. Es ist eine unglaublich schöne und zuverlässige Uhr, die zwar in den Jahren ein paar Kratzer bekommen hat, die aber aufgrund der hohen Qualität des Stahls kaum sichtbar sind. Die Ganggenauigkeit ist nach wie vor stabil und ist bei wenigen Sekunden minus auf 24 Stunden geblieben. Hervorragende Qualität zum kleinen Preis!!Danke, Davosa, - danke Amazon für das herausragend gute Angebot in 2014 - und Glückwunsch an mich selbst, dass ich damals zugegriffen habe ;-)).

Fantastic quality for this price range. Tried and tested swiss movement as seen in watches 5 times the price and above. I have already had several people comment on the watch, interested that it is not trying to hide the fact it is a Rolex homage rather than a cheap copy from asia. If you can get past the fact it doesn't sport the Rolex branding, you'd be crazy to spend 10 times more on a Rolex because there is no way a Rolex is 10 times better than this watch! Soon to come with a ceramic dial which will be even better value! Outstanding watch!

Ich habe die Ternos seit letztem Mittwoch. Meine Erwartungen an die Uhr waren nach ausführlicher Informationsbeschaffung in einschlägigen Uhrenforen nicht ganz unbescheiden und wurden nicht enttäuscht und sogar übertroffen.Wer wie ich auf das klassische Taucheruhren-Design des großen Vorbilds abfährt, sich aber (wie ich) das Vorbild nicht leisten kann oder will, erwirbt mit der Davosa Ternos Ceramic eine hochwertig gemachte Hommage an den Klassiker unter den Taucheruhren. Meiner Meinung nach die beste derzeit am Markt befindliche Hommage, sowohl hinsichtlich der optischen Nähe zum Vorbild als auch hinsichtlich der technischen Umsetzung.Persönlich kann ich den Vergleich mit einer Invicta OB8926 und einer Steinhart Ocean One führen, die ich beide schon besessen habe. Die Invicta ist vom Gehäusedurchmesser sowie vom Design recht nahe an der Davosa, jedoch deutlich billiger, womit ich nicht nur den Preis meine sondern auch deren Anmutung und technische Komponenten meine. Meiner Meinung nach ist die Davosa den Aufpreis mehr als wert und wer einmal die Davosa am Arm hatte, wird sich keine Invicta mehr umbinden wollen.Deutlich näher von der Verarbeitungsqualität kommt da schon die Steinhart Ocean One, die es ja auch mit Keramik-Lünette gibt. Allerdings hat die Steinhart mit 42mm einen geringfügig höheren Gehäusedurchmesser, auch ein etwas anderes Gehäusedesign und ist bis 300m wasserdicht. Dennoch liegt die Davosa in punkto Verarbeitungsqualität insbesondere von der gesamten Haptik her und bezüglich des Armbandes und dort insbesondere der Bandanstöße spürbar vor der Steinhart. Angesichts des geringen Preisunterschiedes von nur 24 EUR zwischen einer Steinhart Ocean One mit Keramik-Lünette und dem Amazon-Preis von 404,00 EUR für die Davosa Ternos Ceramic also erneut ein klares Votum für die Davosa.Aber jetzt noch mal weg von den vergleichenden Betrachtungen und zur Davosa Ternos selbst. Mit einem Lünettendurchmesser von 40mm trägt sich die Davosa äußerst bequem. Das Gehäuse ist an den Seiten hochglanzpoliert, die Oberseite der Hörner ist ebenso wie das Band gebürstet (wobei die Bandglieder an den Seiten wiederrum poliert sind). Das 20mm breite Stahlband hat massive Anstösse und eine vernünftige und gut gemachte Schließe mit Tauchverlängerung. Die signierte Krone ist griffig und lässt sich ohne Spiel und Wackelei im gelösten Zustand hervorragend bedienen. Die Kronenverschraubung funktioniert ebenfalls wunderbar und ohne jedes kratzige Gefühl beim Verschrauben. Die Lupe "lupt" tatsächlich mit einer 2,5fachen Vergrößerung. Das Zifferblatt hat ein tiefschwarz glänzendes Finish, was die Uhr zusammen mit den sauber aufgesetzten Indexen sehr edel wirken lässt. Die auf Zeigern, Indexen und dem Leucht-Pip auf der Lünette aufgebrachte Leuchtmasse erfüllt hervorragend ihren Zweck, erreicht zwar nicht ganz das satte grüne Strahlen von Seiko's Lumibrite etwa bei "Monster" und "Sumo", ist aber deutlich heller und ausdauernder als bei der Invicta und der Steinhart, die ich hatte und im übrigen auch besser als bei vielen schweizer Konkurrenzprodukten vergleichbarer und höher Preisregionen, die ich bisher in den Händen hatte. Das verbaute Eta2824-2 scheint hervorragend einreguliert. Bei mir läuft die Uhr gegenwärtig mit einem Nachgang von knapp unter 3 s / 24h. Wenn das so bleibt, bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Der Oberhammer ist jedoch die Keramik - Lünette. Hoch glänzendes Schwarz mit sauber eingefräßten und weiss ausgelegten Ziffern. Meiner Meinung nach ist gerade diese Lünette ein bestimmendes Design-Element an der Davosa und wertet diese Uhr optisch nochmals deutlich auf. Die 120er Rastung der Lünette ist satt und ohne Spiel, der Lünetten-Gang weder zu schwer noch zu leichtgängig. Allerdings dürfte es schwierig werden, diese Lünette problemlos mit Taucherhandschuhen zu bedienen, da die Griffigkeit der Lünette besser sein könnte, was aber letztlich dem Lünettendesign geschuldet ist.Insgesamt also eine rundum gut gemachte Uhr, die auch den Vergleich mit höherpreisigen schweizer Produkten nicht scheuen muss. Von der Verarbeitungsqualität und Haptik her würde ich die Davosa auf Augenhöhe mit meiner doch spürbar teureren Longines Hydro Conquest sehen - womit wir nun doch wieder bei den Vergleichen wären :o)Die Uhr passt sowohl zu Jeans und T-Shirt als auch zum Anzug, verträgt einen Sprung in den Pool oder einen Schnorchelausflug ohne Probleme und mach dabei optisch eine gute Figur. Wer also eine hochwertige Alltagsuhr im ansprechenden klassischen Design passend für alle Gelegenheiten sucht, sollte sich diese Davosa mal näher ansehen. Für Fans des klassischen Rolex-Taucheruhren-Designs, die das Budget für das große Vorbild nicht aufbringen können oder wollen, ist diese Davosa m. E. sowieso ein "Muss". Meiner Meinung nach ist die Uhr den aufgerufenen UVP mehr als wert und für den von Amazon aufgerufenen Special-Price von 404,-Öcken ein regelrechtes Schnäppchen. Von mir also eine klare Kaufempfehlung!!!
