Fixed was only the beginning, Hudson was the ending!!! Could not put it down!!!
I loved the the first three books within the Fixed series, and when i read she was writing a fourth in Hudson's p.o.v, i couldn't wait to read it is an understatement, and it didn't disappoint...It gives the back story as to why the characters are the way they are, i gives insight into how Hudson see's everyone and why he is the way he is through-out the fixed trilogy - it's an all inclusive overlook of everything that happened through-out the three books in one...The only thing i found difficult to get my head round, was Hudson's view point of Laynie's, to me in some places it didn't sync right with how she was in the first three books - (she sounds more whiny/needy from his view point)... BUT thankfully we have the first three books to see who and why the character is the way she is - though that is explained within this book too...A little bit of a spoiler, so don't read on if you don't like spoilers, if you class it as a spoiler...Overall, the book had me wanting to read it and not put it down... The next downside, i felt the conclusion, the epilogue itself was too short and rushed... *Hint Hint* for me, it could have done with at-least a novella to close the story off...The before and after, i liked how she did this, though i felt the BEFORE with Celia could've been bunched together in the first half of the book and the AFTER when he was with Laynie in the second half of the book... As it drove me nuts the story been interrupted by the before and after method... When you read it you will understand what i mean... I understand why she did it, but it would get to a good bit (AFTER), then next thing you know, you're hit with a BEFORE scene and dragged back into the past and it's like well, what happens next in his P.O.V with Laynie... GRRR haha... As i said, it is a good book, awesome from his p.o.v. And overall i wish she'd write more within the Fixed series...

Great follow up book
"Alayna Withers changed everything for me. I can easily divide my life into two parts - before her and after......... Before her, I never really lived. So there's is only after."I've enjoyed other books retelling the story from the male perspective, such as the Legal Affairs series by Sawyer Bennett, and so was very much looking forward to seeing the story from Hudson's viewpoint, and it's great. Some of the book is retelling the story of the Fixed trilogy from his side but some of the book is his past and how he became the man he is. We're told the story of how his 'experiment' with Celia changed her making her his future partner in crime. He teaches her well and in terms of the game, she outplays him in the end but is put to a stop by his clever business mind backing her into a corner. Even though did a horrid thing to Celia I still hate her! Hudson carries out his 'experiments' so he can study people's reactions to circumstances, he's curious because he doesn't feel these emotions himself. He is cruel but what's worse is Celia helping only because she wants to see people hurt and in pain. Before Laynie Hudson doesn't understand emotions, not feeling was his "superpower", believes they play no important part in life. "Emotions. How they weakened the strong. How they deluded the intelligent. How they transformed a person into someone unrecognizable". After meeting Alayna he's confused. "I'm also completely lost. I've never been so without answers......Has therapy actually changed me? Is that why she makes me feel the way she does? Because as scared as I am to admit it, that's exactly what's going on with Alayna - I'm feeling. She makes me feel. What, I can't say. I'm not familiar enough with these sensations to explain any of it."The way Hudson speaks of Laynie shows he's truly in love, deep, painful, breathtaking, love. "She's not just my light; she's my sun. My world revolves around her." When he thinks he's lost her and he is crying, hugging himself, feeling all the emotions he has refused to feel before, it's heartbreaking. This is a great book, seeing the change in Hudson is beautiful; seeing Celia's plotting is frustrating; seeing Alayna's suffering is painful. Fantastic follow up to the trilogy.

Another fix of Mr Hudson Pierce mmmm!
I really enjoyed the Fixed Series and was really looking forward to reading this.I can't lie, I did struggle to get into it but that was purely because I'd forgotten a lot of the content and in particular Alayna's reaction to them and I don't do well with books that jump between now and then! That said I did enjoy the book and found that skim reading the other 3 books in tandem helped me out no end. Please don't be put off reading because of the issues I've had - they're issues with my head and definitely not with the book or its content, as I said its a good book and a lovely end to the series, we find out some very interesting facts and answers to lingering questions, the epilogue is so nice and really shouldn't be missed. Celia and Sophia continue to make me want to shake them but I love Mira and Jack! Hudson remains a deliciously hot guy who loves his lady faults and all!

Love this book!
This series is a really great suspenseful series. And this book in particular I love because we finally get a POV from Hudson. This is one of my top 3 series. And Hudson was the very first love of my life. Written really well!

Fans of the Fixed Trilogy - Do NOT miss this book!
Disclaimer: If you haven’t read the trilogy go and do that before reading this book or this review. This book won’t make any sense if you haven’t read the trilogy and this review might spoil things for you if you read it first.“Alayna Withers changed everything for me. I can easily divide my life into two parts – before her and after. The person I was in that time long ago and the person I became when my eyes first found hers. Though that isn’t entirely accurate. Before her, I never really lived. So there is only after. I begin and end with her. It’s as simple and profound as that. Our worlds have entwined and wrapped around each other’s completely. They’ve shaped into something new and fixed and whole. There is no longer her story or mine, but now and always, only ours.” – Hudson PierceThis book is a must read for fans of the Fixed Trilogy! I love dual POV’s in books and since this trilogy didn’t have that I was very excited to see this companion novel that allowed us to see things from Hudson’s POV! I was wondering how the author would fit a trilogy’s worth of events plus flashes back to “before” in just one book but I thought she did so beautifully. The “before” and “after” transitions were smooth and she hit upon most of the major events from the trilogy while still managing to fill us in on the other events with just a few sentences. It also helped that I had just finished the trilogy the day before (which I read in the span of 4 days) so it was still very fresh in my mind.I really liked the addition of the “before” chapters, I thought it was fascinating to learn about Hudson’s experiments and why he would do them and what he hoped to learn. It made me a bit sad too because his family really did a number on him and things could have been so different for him if his parents had just paid attention. But everything happens for a reason and if he’d had a different upbringing he probably would have never crossed paths with Alayna. Anyway, we got to see the why and how of his experiment with Celia and got the full picture of the aftermath of that which again was fascinating to read. There were also some really special scenes between Hudson and Mira and I loved her even more after this book! I liked how the “before” chapters were interspersed with the “after” chapters too, I was glad I didn’t have to wait until halfway through the book to get to the parts where he started seeing Alayna. As I mentioned, the “after” chapters were great and hit upon most of the major events spanning the whole trilogy. I could sense when I was reading the trilogy that Alayna affected Hudson much sooner and much more than he let on to her but it was awesome seeing in this book just how much she really got under his skin and made him second guess pretty much everything he thought he knew about human behavior and love. (“I’m breaking all my rules with this woman, acting outside my very nature. Maybe other men have survived her flames, but I fear I’m already burning.”) We got to see firsthand how even when he appeared aloof or unaffected he was really a sea of emotions inside, he just didn’t know how to process them.Even though I already knew what was going to happen I still felt every up and down and in some cases the pain and the happiness felt brand new because of the different perspective. This book also allowed us a look into some of the events that took place “off the pages” of the other books while Hudson was away from Alayna which was cool to see and we also learned a few new tidbits of information which were surprising and very interesting! And the epilogue, I LOVED the epilogue! I had to read it through the tears in my eyes, it was a perfect ending to this amazing series.I was very excited to see that the author is working on another book that will tell Gwen’s story before she came to the Sky Launch, I’ve already added it to my TBR list and maybe just maybe we’ll get to see a Hudson and Alayna appearance at some point in that book? A girl can hope anyway!
