Bollywood Sou ndtrack
loved the movie also for the songs... that's why I had to buy the soundtrack as well! Pure Bollywood style - I guess, KANK is my very first Bollywood movie and even if it's 3hours long I loved it!

It was just OK
I usually enjoy Bollywood movies. But of late of have noticed a disturbing trend that was very evident in this movie. Many Bollywood movies are trying to be too Western/American and losing the vivid portrayal of Indian culture that made them such a hit to viewers such as myself. In this movie, although the theme is a good one, the constant use of American slang and mannerisms became annoying after a while. I can appreciate the importance of portraying the Indian experience both inside and outside India, but this portrayal was barely believable. It appeared to be forced. I would not have minded so much had the Americanisms been necessary or relevant to the storyline, but they were not. It was just an unnecessary distraction.

Great soundtrack!!
I ♥ this soundtrack to the Bollywood movie, Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna starring Shahrukh Khan, Preity Zinta, Rani Mukherjee, and Abhishek Bachchan. My favorite song on the album is definitely the theme song Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, because I can really relate to the lyrics -- and which really resonates in my life. The movie itself is just OK. Not bad, but not great either. While, in my opinion, the movie is nothing to rave about (I'd rather save my raving for far better movies like Veer Zaara, Vivah, or Baghban) I ♥ the songs on this soundtrack album, and think they are AWESOME!!!

Outstanding!Outstanding!Outstanding!Outstanding!Outstanding!
Each song is profoundly memorable. The title song is soothing, has a beautiful melody and takes time to make you love it.Mitwa and its remix are unforgettable- one wonders why this tune was never set to words before or why these words were never set to tune before.Where's the Party Tonight?- Peppy, dancy, alive, enthusiastic, fun.Rock And Roll Soniye- Excellent. Give it a few hearings- the tune and execution make 'foot-tapping' almost instantly a hobby!Tumhi Dekho Na- Superlative piano mastery, unbeatble melody.look, just buy this!

Cheaper elsewhere
This appears to be the soundtrack CD to Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Why the high price when one can find it in their nearest Indian grocery store much cheaper ?
