Barbarian’s Seduction: Ice Planet Barbarians, Book 20

While I really enjoy the writing of this author, I think this one was a little on the extreme side. My opinion comes solely on the female character. I found her to be much too slutty for a good guy like Zennick. I do understand that she was suppose to be a mischievous teasing character but her teasing came across a little too much on the smug side . She almost seemed to be making fun of or riduculing her “mate”. Almost like she felt superior to him. It just left a bad vibe. Sorry Ms. Dixon, hopefully the next one will be a better match of characters.

Ruby once again doesn’t disappoint! I adored this story. While I do love a cocky Alpha, my heart just melts at a shy dirty talking male . Zennek does it for me.This is a story that you could read as a stand-alone, but it is so much better if you know all the back stories. I would recommend reading it after the main group gets matched up. You could read it before the second group arrives. It mostly focus on the couple, and has a few other character interactions. I am so glad Marlene has her own story and that we got to see how her and Zennek began, plus you get to see their relationship 8 years later.This story is full of dirty talk, and the dirty 😏 but also a lot of love and tenderness. Sweet displays of fatherhood, and this adorable line from Zennek: “I will always come back to you, my mate. You think I could leave your side forever? Impossible. I am not whole without you.” Carry on Ruby, continue your magic fingers and words. I will be a faithful follower til the end.

I Have been Dying to get MarleneN Zennek's Story since the beginning of the Ice Planet Barbarians seriesand was over the moon excited for Barbarians Seduction it's Exactly what I was craving! Scorchingly Hot Romance, Epic Adventure, Suspense, Danger, Heart Melting Sweetness, Wickely Funny Humor N so much more!Ruby Dixon never disappoints! I Loved Every moment with Marlene N Zennek They are Deliciously Adorable together!!! She is this Saucy little French Doll, Loving, Fierce, and full of Mischief! And He is this Strong Silent Hunter, So Sweet Serious, and Protective with a Sexy Intensity that only Marlene brings out in him!I love their Beautiful little girl she is such a wonderful mix of both her parents! Talk about a Cuteness over load! 💙I can't wait for the next book need My Ruby Fix!!! 5 Shinning Stars all the way!

Dang, Miss Ruby. I hope this crazy series never ends. I hope to spend my remaining years reading about big blue men and the ladies (or guys?) who love them. I hope to continue rereading these lovely stories until I can't see anymore.Marlene and Zenneck...what a pair. As much as I loved the boldness of Maddie, and her pursuit of her Big Blue, Marlene takes the cake! This story was so charming, crazy virginal sex and all. And yet, I found myself tearing up in a few spots.This, readers, is why we love Miss Ruby's series so much. You get laughter, smoking hot sex, a little terror, bittersweet sadness, and love all together in a big pile. All this takes place on a make believe planet, no less.This series is precisely why I read scifi romance. It's a side trip away from my everyday life, and it's such a great ride. If you are new to this series, do yourself a huge favor and go back to the beginning. It's a hoot right out of the gate. Keep them coming, Miss Ruby!

This was an unexpected pleasure with the in-depth & well-done flashback to the early days of IPB. I haven't reread the series in a couple of years - this book really flipped the interest in rereading the series. The warmth & fun interactions of the characters, the unrushed writing style with such vivid builds of the environment and the characters was a reminder why I don't even bother with my Kindle Unlimited - I just buy them as soon as I get the notice a new one has arrived.

I love this series, the characters are always vivid and interesting, there is always something exciting going on, without bringing in angst or so much tension you get anxious. I think my favorite thing is the relationships between the characters, though. Not just between mates pairs, but the relationships between the members of the two tribes as a whole. This book is different in that a lot of the story has to do with Marlene's continuing relationship with her deceased mother. This relationship is so much a part of who Marlene is, that it can't be separated from her personality. Growing up, Marlene's whole world was her mom. They went everywhere together, going on adventures, and seeing the world together. When her mother died, she was lost. However, the relationship didn't end. Maryland's mother promised that she would always be with her, and from that time on, there were certain "signs", that she always attributed as her mother telling her that things would be ok. This relationship is as strong as what many people have with a Diety, and took on many of the same aspects. These signs from her mom allowed Marlene to much more easily acclimate and assimilate when she woke up in another planet surrounded by large muscular blue alien males. These signs caused her to easily accept the need for the addition of the "cootie" to her physiology, and her subsequent ressonation and newly mated relationship with Zenneck. She felt like her mother was there with her, and was guiding her to where she needed to be, so she was always at peace with the changes life brought. However, in the absence of these signs, she had a very difficult time while Zenneck and their daughter were caught outside Croatia by a surprise winter storm. The reason for this is eventually explained, and is really touching. This whole story caught me a little off guard by just how much it resonated with my own spirituality, though the outward form is very different. I think this is definitely one of my favorite books in this series. The relationships are unique and very strong, reverberating through each member of this 'family', including the members that have been adopted in, like Arianna and the casual third addition to Kemli and Borran's sleeping furs. This family has a wide open heart and accepting nature that I loved.

I’m so happy Ruby Dixon included a story of Zennek and Marlene . Such a beautiful love story about a extremely shy alien and outgoing French human. If you want to know more, read the book lol

Can we just take a moment to appreciate Ruby's ability to continue the storyline along while taking us back to the beginning so effortlessly!Finally hearing Marlenes story just makes me want to go back to the start and experience it all over again.A few moments in this book brought tears to my eyes, it's going to be hard to step away from this one.Until next time Ruby and while I wait, I'll look for hearts wherever I go xx

Marlene, our heroine, is so bold and sure of herself, it’s amusing to see her interacting with her shy and quiet mate.Plus, it was lovely to see our dear other characters, I never tire of that.

I enjoyed this story of Marlene and Zennek.  I enjoyed their journey and cannot wait to read more books in this series.
