Let's be honest, most people that buy this whip are buying it for self defense purposes.I had really high hopes for this product and I'm extremely dissapointed!The bottom part of handle is really great very strong point that can definitely do a lot a lot of damage, However carrying this around with me would be really concerning that I don't slice or poke myself in the stomach. They should have a cap to cover the point for concealed carry.There is also no way to make the whip smaller. They should have something to keep the whip closed when you want.The quality of this product seems nice but I don't think it's practical in my opinion.Def going to return it .Hope this review helps.

I purchased the original Stinger, and I would not want to be hit with the cable. But OMG, this new one 8mm to 10mm (just 2mm bigger). Dang! Will make a world of difference it I have to use it. I think both are great, the the XL is a big step up. $10 more, but what price can you put on your safety. You can make the cable an inch longer within a couple of minutes with tools.

We bought one for each car. There is no question in my mind that this is easy to use, and will delivery a discouraging message to anyone in the way of the business end of this whip. This whip is built really well. Glad we bought them.

Product arrived in great timing and excellent condition. A very sturdy product with the steel cables providing a powerful feeling of strength/safety after a few good swings. Concealment, for those who wish to carry this on their person (overnight workers), might prove tricky but it is not improbable 🙃. Maybe a case or carrying clip to attach to a belt in the future? No real issues or problems with this product at all. I'd highly recommend this to anybody looking for a clear non lethal reason to give an aggressive person second thought about approaching you. This is a great product very strong , durable And some great features the only thing I would add is the handle being hollow , and waterproof So you can put stuff inside .

This thing is a beast. Keep it in my car just in case I get attacked by a mountain lion. And yes, this, I believe, could fend off such a beast. The only negative is the handle is slippery. Wouldn't trust it if I really needed to hold on to it - which I presume is the idea. Wrapped some grip tape around it and now it feels much better. Please do not use this except for self-defense. It is deadly.

Warmth? Does this thing do something I’m not aware of? Feels stout and I’m sure will be terrific. The belt clip is cheap and useless. Looks like you’ve used a clip that belongs on a pen in your shirt pocket and holds this whip about as well as you would expect. I can only hope you come up with something better in the future. Until then it’s something that would be nice to have, but really doesn’t effect the use and purpose of the whip. Maybe I can figure something out myself.

While the Stinger XL is a good window breaker, most people buy it to use the attached thick metal cable as a non-lethal tool for self-defense. The unit is high quality. I haven’t found a good way to cover the sharp tip that will allow immediate full-use. Nor do I have a method to carry the unit inconspicuously when walking around.The striker and cable can be rolled-up to fit in the side-compartments of the front doors of an automobile. I store it in the door pointed in the direction I need to grab it correctly, allow the cable to unroll, and use it when necessary. The manufacture’s website has links to videos that show how the Stinger is used for personal protection and the YouTube feed supplies additional titles that can be viewed. I think my purchase was a great idea and well worth the cost.
