NewerTech Compatible 95W NuPower Kit | For 15" MacBook Pro Ret (L13-15)

Bought this battery after finding OWC's video on Youtube on how to replace the Mid 2015 MacBook Pro battery. My battery had swollen badly and was only holding about an hours charge. Apple is charging in excess of £200 to replace the battery so this saved me a considerable amount and was fun to do. My only issue was that the bottle of Acetone was empty and had probably evaporated so I purchased Mylee 100% Acetone 300ml for around £6.99. This did the job very well and dissolved the glue holding the battery rapidly applied using small (1ml) amounts with the provided syringe. Before applying the acetone place a sheet of aluminium foil between the keypad and screen just in case the acetone leaks through the touchpad on the other side. The Acetone could potentially damage the LCD. I also didn't bother removing the speakers and motherboard as per the recommendation. I found it easy to carefully pry the battery out with the provided spudger and plastic cards, possibly due to the fact the battery had swollen. Anyway. It works and took me around 90mins, working carefully and slowly. battery life is great again and the bottom panel and trackpad are no longer distorted from the swollen battery. Before trying this, I suggest watching multiple videos and plan carefully.
