I got this as a gift and the person who received it absolutely loved it. She only has had plastic water color sets and so she was excited to have a palette that is both functional and decorative. A similar item did not have a larger space to mix colors like this one does and the recipient agreed that this one was the perfect choice. She loved that it is a material that is eco friendly and will last a long time.

Well packaged to keep this ceramic palette safe. Has 2 sides: nautilus shell for more color wells and the flip side having a simplified 4 wells. This was a gift and the recipient was over the moon excited, said it was a beautiful design and very easy to clean and use. Product was smaller than I thought it would be, but the recipient wasn't bothered.

I have bought 3 different porcelain palettes on Amazon. By far, this one seemed to have the most—dare I say it—*love* put into it. I’ve never experienced ordering something, that I’m pretty sure came from China, come so thoughtfully and sweetly packaged. The box was nicely designed. The foam protecting it looked like someone made this by hand on Etsy and they packaged it with the idea that it not only would be protected during shipment but then opened by me once I got it. The tape securing the foam even had tasteful little ducks on it! It really looked like it came from someone who cared!As for the porcelain palette/mixing tray itself, it is attractive and well made. Even the underside is glazed, which is exceptional and quite nice. I enjoy using it and out of the 3 I have I think it may be my favorite (even though I have a more practical one in my main workspace). It is definitely a palette made for detail work, though, as it is a fairly small size, but if you checked the measurements in the description this shouldn’t be a surprise.

This palette makes me so happy just to see it lying around the house! It's fun to mix the paints in, and it cleans up very easily while the paint is wet. It is smaller than I expected (my fault - I didn't notice the size), so if you want a big mixing area, you might want to get a larger palette, but this palette is just lovely, and we like using it.

This was so pretty that I didn’t want to admit that it was probably too small for the money. It’s a fun concept and works great, but would not buy again.HOWEVER: if you have a watercolor or gouache artist in your life, it’s an adorable gift and I recommend it on design and quality.

This is the best try for mixing water color and COPIC marker. Just rub some marker on of one color and add another or you can pick it up with a blender. It works great.

I primarily work on ATC/ACEO up to 5"x7" or sketchbook watercolor paintings and this palette is perfect for me. I am able to mix just a little of each needed color in the many sections of the shell design. Because there are so many sections, I can go longer between cleaning it because each color type can have its own mixing area. Once I do clean it it becomes shiny white again super easily, without staining. I just rinse it with water and any time theres a bit of build up I just rub it with a damp paper towel and poof - like new-. Well designed to be functional and beautiful. Lays flat and is heavy enough to not wobble or slide off the table. Porcelain surface allows my watercolors to be mixed without beading up, a stroke of color will stay where you placed it with your brush, unlike the shrinking pools of beaded up color drops you get on plastic or coated metal.

I bought this just for the fun of the shape…but discovered I loved all the spaces to mix my watercolors. Many times I only need a small amount if color. To clean. I soak it in a bowl of water, then use a dish brush to clean out every corner. Does not stain.

It's really, such a nice tiny tray. I paint small and this is just amazing. I can mix colors in different quantities because the Wells are tiny or in tinier and that's just amazing because I'm a beginner. I just love having the ability to make small amounts of color when I need to like dark for shades and bright highlights ...stuff like that. Then the flatter area is perfect to make mixes of different colors that are in the wells and then not waste any paint. I wish they made this tray bigger for bigger paintings. so far. This is my favorite ever!
