Small size and opening of cutting head was too small. Returning item.

one catch is that you need to file your nails afterwards
otherwise, your nails may have sharp edges. This isn't a problem using one of those clippers from Solingen Germany -- you don't need to file it.So I kind of consider this to be a design flaw.
