Surprised me how much residual propane was left in the post after the valve was shut off. Be prepared to used that up or loose it when you disconnect the post. Stability was just so/so. The two screws function but seems like there could be a better bracket or something. That being said it worked fine for the 4 days we were out. Stood up in some pretty strong winds too. Used with lantern on the top and stove of the side port with out issue.

Works well enough. Seems a bit flimsy.

Great to have while camping

I love this device. It changed car camping for me!I purchased one of the best camp stoves here on Amazon (StanSport) but I quickly learned that the little bottle propane tanks were useless because the stove would burn fuel so quickly that it was freezing the bottles and causing them to lose their ooomph. A friend gave me a 3 gallon propane bottle pictured with this product and that was a game changer! Yeah, it's a bigger item to tote around but now my stove can blast both burners for hours at a time without hesitation.So I upped the game by getting this distribution post. Not only can I connect my stove, but I can share my connection to another stove. I also connect the Coleman InstaStart 967 to the top of this post for instant light at the camp kitchen. This product is a must have to help convert the bottle to your camp stove. It also gives you more options for lighting and more. This was a great addition to the camping gear on my list.The quality of this unit is very high. I can tell it will last for years. They also include attached caps to protect the threads when not in use. That is a nice touch and I really appreciate that. I never lose the caps because they are attached to the post.StanSport makes good stuff!

The media could not be loaded.  Purchased for adding a small heater to a greenhouse, so set it up as soon as received. Connected to the 20lb propane tank. There was an immediate sound of hissing, indicating a gas leak at the tank. Used the connection to my gas grill to see if it was just the tank. Nope. No effing way I was going to use this. Attempted return and ended in a cycle of evaluating the gas leak, with no way to enter the return except an offer link to find other resolutions to the gas leak. If you own one of these, I'd recommend a soap test just in case.

At first I thought this propane distribution post was worthless. When I originally purchased it, I didn't realize I would need a different type of connection hose. Once I purchase a few "Extension Hose for Propane Distribution Tree," all was golden. What I first thought was a stupid purchase, now I can't imagine not having one.As for the tree itself, it seems pretty well made. It's solid and does what it's supposed to do. I've never had a balancing issue nor has it ever "tipped" over on me. It seems very stable. The best part of this tree is that I can power the stove, lamp, and a heater all at the same time. Makes camping life easier.

I took this on our first camp trip in a long time. Ordered this post and hoped to make life easier at camp. I opened the box and connected to the tank. Constant leak that would not stop. I'm lucky I had all the old connection for this trip, so trip not ruined. I contacted Amazon customer service and they were unable to help with the issue. So, I'm out - both my money and the product.

Purchased for our Scouting group equipment to have one that is a two-piece that is not the long one-piece we usually use to store it and transport it easier. It's not the battle tank metal the old one is but this one is very sturdy.The plastic tank coupling is thick and should last, and goes on to the tank easily. All threads have a plastic cover with a tether so they don't get lost, so they should continue to protect the threads in transport. Note that these should never be relied on to be a pressure seal.Pressure tested well, both as one-piece without the extension as as a two-piece tree.Only issue - and this is an issue with most of these distribution trees - is there are no nylon carry bags included or as an option to buy.
