"Wave" Jew's Harp - Russian Vargan by Glazyrin

I ordered this mouth harp, and the snoopy harp at the same time. The snoopy harp was painful and difficult, my children couldn't play the snoopy harp at all.THIS on the other hand, was a night/day difference. High quality, easy to hold, easy to strike notes, difficult to strike teeth. The thinner, more delicate tongue has a longer sustain, and if you do strike your teeth you barely feel it. The tighter fit between the body and the tongue uses much less air while breathing the notes (the snoopy left me winded and dizzy). Even my children (under 6) have found this easy and satisfying to play. A very pleasent way to pass a lazy summer afternoon on the porch.An added bonus is the nice case it came with. Very attractive with magnetic closure.I will be looking to purchase their other models as well.

Bought a cheap one fit 5$ and learned pretty quick how to use it from youtube, decided to get this because youtubers recommend getting a better quality one, and holy crap it's like night and day I could probably become a professional Jew harp player now it sounds a 100 times better.

Shipping was fast and the harp came well packaged. I have included a picture of this harp next to an old Snoopy Harp that I have had forever. The size is obviously smaller than the Snoopy but the quality and sound of the Glazyrin are not even in the same league, in fact they are not even in the same game. This harp is absolutely amazing, it is beautifully made and the sound is so loud that you won't believe it. I feel like a fool for using the garbage that is a Snoopy harp for so long before I bought one of these. Pay the extra for one of these instead of one of the cheap harps and you wont regret it.

I've only ever had a Snoopy Harp in the past and I was looking for a Jew's Harp that was a step up since I started getting good at it. I came to the right place. If you are seriously considering purchasing a Jew's Harp of higher quality, don't limit yourself to one because they're all different, but this is definetely one you will want to have. It has a lower tone than the standard Snoopy Harp and the sound is amazing. This instrument has an entire dimension of tone that one of those novelty harps does not. It is a unique harp, but as I mentioned, its tone is low, and every harp is different, so consider this an essential piece for a collection of various Jew's Harps. Also the case is pretty cool and the fact that it comes from Russia is kind of neat to an American like me, but that's a matter of opinion.

I have been playing Austrian harps for years and though they are terrible children's toys as some describe them, I use them heavily, believe it or not, for children. Eventually, because they are cheap, I decided to research the Wave Russian Jew's Harp and learn more about why so many musicians have been talking about them. What I've learned is that a lot of care went into making this harp. The whole package, harp and case, are well made and the shipping was fast. For such a little instrument, I have to say that each time I play it, I am amazed at how incredibly beautiful is sounds. Plus, it truly is professional over the Austrian model. If you're serious about playing a jew's harp, then spend the money and get yourself a very well made instrument. I am already convinced that I am ready for more Glazyrin Harps!

I really love this Jew Harp. This being my first ever Jew Harp I did a lot of searching and decided on this one. When I finally got it in the mail I was able to immediately make sounds from it and have been playing it in almost all my spare time. I would definitely recommend this one. The only reason I did not rate this 5 stars is the fact that I could not track the package. I am fine with waiting and am very patient, but due to the fact that I didn't have any tracking information and the fact that it surpassed the expected arrival twice was a bit of a bother. So just know that it did take about two months for me to get it. This being my only con of the thing I can see I would definitely recommend this to any person interested in starting with the Jew Harp.

This jaw harp failed to function properly from the beginning. It is poorly designed, with virtually NO clearance between the tongue and the frame (less than a milimeter on each side). While that alone would make the instrument finicky, the harp arrived unwrapped and unpadded, in just a large envelope -- no case or even a box. The tongue was bent when it arrived, and it proved impossible to play: the tongue either buzzes against the frame, or just "thwacks" against it, without producing a tone. Totally unusable.I will say that the seller was quick to accept a return, and immediately refunded my money. But all in all, for almost $35, a very disappointing experience; I have jaw harps that cost 1/4 of this one, and still play after 15 years of use.Will look elsewhere for my next jaw-harp.

Bought a cheap one for $7.99 to get the basics down, and then I ordered this one......WOW !!!!! what a difference. Very good quality, much better sound, and much more volume !!!! I am very satisfied.
