For a senior dog who likes to wander ...
The media could not be loaded. This is Logan. I've had him for fifteen years. He was a full-grown rescue when he came to live with me. So, he may be more sixteen than fifteen. He's healthy - pretty much. He can't hear but he senses percussion and vibration. He is partially blind. And he probably has dementia. He wanders wherever his nose leads him. This morning he tracked a rabbit! Haven't seen him that excited or move that fast in a long time. I wish I had captured it on video. This leash worked perfectly, preventing him from charging after that rabbit - although part of me would've loved to see the chase.Logan and I are full-time travelers. We wander from one National Forest to the next. There, dogs must be on leash no longer than six feet. I wouldn't have it any other way because Logan would definitely wander off and get lost if he weren't on a leash. I have this one, the Fida Retractable Dog Leash, which is longer than six feet (but I don't let him get more than a few feet from me). And I have a tie-out cable for camp. I use the retractable leash for walkabouts. The 11-second video that I posted here was shot during one of our hikes. It shows the leash and how well it works. The sound you hear is the leash doing its job. This is a quality product.

You get what you pay for
This leash is a bit underwhelming (hard to believe I'm saying that about a leash!). I purchased this one instead of another WENFENG leash for my second dog because the WENFENG once upon a time was this inexpensive ($12.99) but went up to a little over $20. I thought, well, this leash may be just as good, but it really isn't.The leash is EXTREMELY light in comparison to my other leash. It feels pretty cheap and doesn't have as good of a grip. The lead gets twisted really easily and when it retracts it doesn't untwist itself, causing me to need to pull it out and retract it correctly. Also brake system is poorly designed. When you press the button down to keep it locked you have to push the button beside it away. This is troublesome because sometimes when you push down just to break it locks itself by accident. Then it's a pain to unlock. The latch is REALLY small, and we're lucky that it was able to go onto our Kong harness.I think overall the leash is "ok". Would I buy another one? Absolutely not and I'll spend the extra money on the WENFENG leash. I would not get this for a medium sized dog but small breeds should be fine.

My macaw and I love this leash!
That's right....I adapt dog leashes for my macaw so that she can fly! Needing a replacement for a leash that we wore out, I selected this one and gave it a try. First, the leash is light but substantial (does that make sense). Operation is smooth as the line plays out...it is so smooth that she flies like nothing is there. The operating mechanism....lock and unlock is so easy to work and it works with every touch. If it works this well with my baby.....try it....it may work for you!

Buy bigger than you think you need.
Feels good in my hand. Lock works well. Retract works well. The lead is the downfall. I have a terrier pup who got out the door faster than I could and all it took was a 5 second scrub against my door to cut clear through the lead. I was able to tie it back together to finish his walk. I am only leaving 1 star because I feel like the lead should be more durable than it was. If it wasn’t for the quick failure I would gladly give it a solid 5 stars.

Awesome retractable leash! This is by far my favorite leash I have purchased for my dog, and at such a great price! The other leashes I have purchased from PetCo or Target have cost twice as much and were not as durable! Great product!

great product!
i totally didn't expect how light this leash would be--so excellent. also didn't expect it to be small either but it works and fits my fingers--i'd only worry if you have big hands with big fingers lol. i just needed to get used to the small lock--which is why i gave that part 4 stars. however, the product in total was the best investment i've made in doggie products. the lock works immediately and has 2 levels of lock; the 6 ft. leash was the perfect length for my 10 lb, blind, senior dog. i love that the leash itself is a flat-reflective material, not a rope leash. The only thing that can make it better is... having a light attached. thanks!

A GOOD LITTLE RETRACTABLE LEASH FOR A CHIJUAJUA!!
This cheapo pet leash is perfect for a small dog.4The retraction spring is snappy and the clasp is just fine. The leash is about 10 feet long so it is just about right for the little dog buddy. The price is right and the quality is there.Made in China but a good leash!ThanksAU//(~_~)\\

Weak and flimsy. Snapped immediately.
Useless product. The lead tore a little the first time we used it to walk the dog. The second time we used it it snapped completely and he ran off into traffic. Luckily he didn't get hit or cause an accident. He is a 7kg border terrier and we were using the large size lead which should in theory be appropriate for large dogs like labs, rottweilers etc. Shows just how flimsy it is. The handle is good and comfortable but the lead itself is a flimsy piece of ribbon. Avoid.

Retractable dog lead
This lead is really good, would certainly recommend it. My husband also ordered this, so mine has been returned.

Good and strong
Excellent quality and well made. Bought vivid lime green one which is us useful when road walking. Stitching is fluorescent so can see it when out in the evenings.Very strong 5 meter leash good for large breed dogs.

Great, sturdy lead.
Now let's set this one thing straight; I'm a good dog and I actually don't need a lead. My human bought this after coming back from one of our walks one day, during which he uttered several rude words every time my previous lead jammed.I have to say the movement of the extending lead is very smooth and hardly audible and has none of the clack, clack, clacking the old lead had. The lead also has reflective stitching, which means even that manic cyclist who bombs down the tow path at night should be able to see us now (providing he buys some lights).Orange is my human's choice... orange everything, orange harness, orange coat, orange, orange, orange. Still, he does have good taste in dog treats and I always get a crisp when we visit this strange building that has lots of drinks for sale, where people just sit, drink and look at their phones. Honestly, I'll never understand humans.
