Great budget alternative to a hanna meter
Feels pretty sturdy. Easy to use, easy to calibrate. Its a good priced alternative to an expensive 3 in 1 and appears to deliver accurate results. The included buffers are handy for to check initial calibration and for the future.Tip: get distilled water, mix each of the buffer solutions as directed - store them for later use!

Of the ph "pens" I've purchased this one is the most likely you give you trouble
I have several of these ph "pens" and they work great except for this one. Nearly impossible to get it to calibrate the 4.0. It will say CAL when calibrating 6.86 but refuses to settle in on the 4.0. If you get lucky and get it to say CAL it doesn't stay calibrated. It does not repeat the same reading time after time. I know it is not my methods or test solutions because the other 3 "pens" I have work just fine and repeat the readings. The manual says this unit is calibrated right out of the box but I haven't gotten a good consistent reading on it yet. I have an Apera, Dr. Meter and one of the better style cheap yellow ones with the black cap (get the one without calibration screw on the back, seen too many complaints on those). The one I have has the calibration button on front, works good for me. The caps on the cheap ones leak KOH if you lay them flat but they at least repeat their readings. I am disappointed that this Allpretty pen does not.

Better than the other cheaper pH readers
I'm using this for brewing beer and making kettle sours. It seems a lot more accurate than the cheaper reader I had and feels like it won't break as easily. Make sure you buy some calibration powder packs to keep it regularly calibrated. Comes with extra set of batteries which is awesome.

Worth the price
This is what I expected to get for the price point. Not as good as some higher end brands, but does the trick. Takes a while to read the correct temperature. Seems to be reading close enough to accurate for my liking. If you're advanced in whatever field you are using this in, I would recommend a more established brand. If you're a "close enough for me" kind of person, this will do the trick

Junk
I bought the meter at the end of my last bro unboxed it went to use it realized it was way off sent it back for a replacement received replacement did not open it until about 3 weeks ago and realized after 3 weeks of using it that my plant had a huge deficiency and I couldn't figure out why so I pulled out the pH packets that they send with it to a calibrate it and attempted to recalibrate it so it would be on point even after recalibrating it it's still way off it's reading distilled water starting off at 7.5 and dropping all the way down to 6 within 10 seconds this meter is 100% garbage do not waste your money

Very accurate
The test is very accurate, easy to understand the pH, easy to use, and the check number is accurate. It's very small, so there is no need to worry about water quality.

Unable to calibrate - readings are wrong
I bought this based on mainly positive reviews to test pool water PH. Supposed it came pre calibrated, but also comes with 3 levels to do your calibration (using distlled water, and following directions). I tested the water and then went to the pool store and had them test it. there was a difference of 1.5 PH. So I went to another pool store to have them test it (same result). Clearly the PH readers wasn't working. So I tried to do the calibration 4 6.86 and 9. - 3 jars, distilled water, hold the calibrate button - Level3 wouldn't work- it would never calibrate. So I had to send it back. The concept it good but I'll just go with the pool store, didn't work nor calibrate. Maybe it was a defective unit - but not going to risk it again.
