Great device!
This is a great device. I was able to use it to connect my MacBook Air to an HDTV which I use as a monitor. I also it to connect a Logitech webcam, an Apple keyboard, a usb encryption device and an iPad charger.Good device for your money.

The product did not function properly at all. Initially unplugging would correct the issue but after a couple of days the unit failed entirely.

Works
I'm using this docking station @ work with an old Gateway laptop. I installed a USB3 PCMIA card and the docking station. It works ok but can slow down and even blue screen from time to time. I think its the combo of the card and d Station causing the problems but it works ok.

Works exactly as advertised
For a device needing to do so many things - it does them all perfectly. All loads up automatically and just started working -- Windows 7 is what I was using and everything self-loaded and just worked.. Excellent.

NOT Compatible with Windows 8
I bought this for a Dell XPS 12 ultrabook running Windows 8. My research on this item showed that it was Windows 8 compatible and there were Windows 8 drivers on the company's support website. Unfortunately, these drivers did not work. I lost 3 hours with the Kensington tech (who took over my machine but could not get the docking station to work) and 2 hours with the Dell rep (who did the same thing). In all, I lost 8 hour on this, as I initially spent 3 hours on my own trying to troubleshoot the problem. Dell sent a tech to my HOUSE to confirm that my motherboard and USB ports were functioning on my laptop - costing me another 2 hours. My new laptop is fine, and that service tech confirmed that this device was incompatible with Windows 8. FYI, I know the docking station works, because I hooked it up to my old Dell latitude, running Vista, and it worked fine. So I give it two stars, as it is a sleek design and feels well built, but I deducted three stars for the false advertising about Windows 8 compatibility. Now I have to ship it back :-(

Expensive but does the job
Works very well but was twice as much money as my last docking station. I will see how long this one lasts.

Works perfectly!
I thought there might be some interference between Ethernet speed and usb peripherals, but it doesn't. Great connection speed and rich functionalities. Video output works perfectly, though the maximum resolution is 2048*1152, which is a let down.

NIce design poor execution
I purchased this product for use at home with my MBP. I like the look of the dock it fits right into my desk layout. The problem starts when you need to visit the website to get a pierce of software to make the video portion work with Mountain Lion, when the drivers were included for the Windows product line (Except for Windows 8, also online).I wanted a product the would allow me to make a single connection to my external back up drive, provide other USB ports, another monitor and the wire ethernet connection. This product appeared to do all that. However, when I connect my laptop the dock doesn't sense the laptop in that it doesn't try to renew the IP address and therefore doesn't get one. Either it should maintain a IP even when the laptop is not connected, or it should sense the connection to the laptop stop and start the ethernet interface. Either way I am force to power down the dock and power it back up just to get that wire netwrok connection, poor process, poor execution.
