Great Lights - Proof That Old School Stuff Still Rules!
I purchased and mounted these lights on my 2006 Honda Ridgeline, and I'm completely satisfied with them. They cast a clean, white light well down the road, nicely illuminating the night well over twice the distance of the stock headlights, and reflecting back brightly on any animals, lane dots, road signs, or reflectors on the road (or on abandoned cars on the side of the road!). They do well in rain, snow, clear and overcast weather, never tossing back any objectionable reflections, or coloring things oddly. Additionally, the wiring was simple enough... I wired mine to come on automatically with the high beams, but left a loop in the wire in case I decide to make them switchable. Remember, legally you can only run driving lights with your high beams on. One picture shows my lead wire coming out of the grill a little high, but that was an error that I've since corrected, and the wires are basically invisible now.I did have to make some brackets to mount mine, as the Ridgeline has no level surfaces in the front to facilitate auxiliary lights, though mine does have the rare, optional plastic "bull bar" on the nose. I look at it like a bit of an extra cushion if I hit something - not a serious bull bar (then again, most bull bars are a joke if you look at the mountings). I bent them out of .125" by 1.25" aluminum, and painted them with a hammertone finish. One final note - these lights are a bit old school (as am I) so the light pattern definition may not be as crisp and clear as the LED headlight generation might expect, but it's totally acceptable - these lights meet DOT and European road specs. Having said that, I almost never get flashed at night if I'm running them on a properly spaced divided interstate. In fact, they have less upward light spillage than the stock headlights, as indicated in one of the pictures. I've got about 4000 on and off road miles on them so far, and I'm really glad I put them on.

Great Auxiliary Lights and Good Quality.
Delivered as promised. Great lights. I chose these over similar lights with plastic lexan lenses because they're glass. Look fantastic on the front of my Silverado along side of the Hella Fog Lights.

Packaging is not good for a not cheap item
We received the product yesterday, but it was shipped from it's original box they didn't put it in another box at all. When we received it the box was all damaged. The fact that this is lights the packaging should be safe to make sure it won't break and it's not cheap we pay a lot to get like a trash box.

Great driving lights
Quality product as you would expect. Put on my '05 Dodge Ram. Really show up the road and are street legal, at least in MO.

A Must have when your car headlights are dim
I have a 1994 Ford Crown Victoria, and they work great. They are defiantly brighter than my cars headlights. Now, there was a substantial amount of assembly required for the wiring part of it, which I knew there would be, but for any beginners. I would highly recommend getting someone who knows how to wire, because the instructions are very vague. Other than that, the product is great. I bought a license plate mount off another website, that actually was intended to use with this product

Not bright enough even with 100w halogen bulbs
I tow a gooseneck trailer back from the races every Saturday during the summer. The weight of the trailer would point my headlights into the sky. Not only could I not see on dark roads, I was blinding people driving towards me causing them to flash their light at me. I now run these as my headlights and pointed them down so when I tow they are where a Headlight should be. I use my running light setting on my regular headlight switch. It is nice not getting lights flashed at me. Although I wish they were brighter.

Good quality Hella product
Good quality Hella product. However, on the very first trip in my motor home, a rock must have hit the lens, cracking it. Lenses are not replaceable. Very bright light.

Not the quality I would expect, but bright.
Let me start by saying that I purchased these driving lights with the assumption that paying more for a name brand would give me higher quality...boy was I a sucker!!!In short, these lights cannot be waterproof. They have the appearance of an old sealed headlight screwed into a plastic housing with no gaskets. The housing, mounting method and adjustment are similar to a $20 fog lamp sold under the name of "Blazer". The difference being that the Blazer having a cheap plastic reflector and lense. The Hella driving lights have a glass one piece reflector and lense with a hole in the back to mount a bulb. If the glass gets broken, the whole unit has to be replaced. This Hella driving light is truly a kit. You get to run the wires into the light. They give you a watertight grommet to run the wires through. You can solder or crimp the terminals on. Then you painstaking run the wires through the grommet on your first light...thinking that this is watertight...until you screw the light back together. Then you realize that the grommet is all but a waste of time. My point??? I have bought many sets of cheap fog lamps. Never paying more than $30. They have all been the same quality, and they come assembled, unlike these. If I had not already soldered and sweated over assembling these, I would send them back! I am embarrassed that I just spent over $100 on a poorly designed piece of junk.FYI my poorly designed, Chinese fog lamps seem to put out more light. I would have kept them but they didn't focus the light very well......Update... I made a 1200 mile journey with these lights, about half of the trip was night driving. These lights do have a place where they shine, the focus of the reflectors if excellent. They shine way out there and do it brightly and with focus. I will raise my review by one star. The overall quality is still lacking .
