Twist and Shout Multiplication (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

I really like this item BUT was ready to send it back as it came with no box or wrapping and no instructions...not even an explanation as to how to put in the batteries. Thank goodness for YouTube where I found the info I needed to get this thing working. This item was supposed to have batteries included but there were not any in the item. Is AMAZON getting sloppy with its items? I feel like it was a return. It is working fine and it looks brand new and the price was great when compared to other sites so it is a keeper at this point.Basically, there are 4 different activities which can be utilized to review and practice the multiplication facts through 12. There are 3 volume settings on the one I received unlike some of the reviews I read that said the one level volume was loud and annoying.I would recommend this item but maybe not from AMAZON due to the manner in which mine was packaged.

I ordered this hoping to get my son more interested in studying his basic math facts. It is a decent product and does the job okay, but honestly I have found that just regular old flash cards work MUCH more effectively. I think the reason for that is because I am working with him with the flash cards rather than him working alone with the electronic device. He learns the facts much more quickly when I am there doing it with him, giving him attention and praise and also showing that I value his efforts and that the activity is important.Its a nice novelty for a little while but using flash cards with an attentive parent was much much more effective in our case. This is, however, very useful and (almost!) fun for just running through the multiplication drills as a supplement to the flash cards.

I bought this for my second going into third grade son to help him out in math. He has shown little interest in the toy part, mostly because he connects it to school. Beware, I have caught him using it to do his homework, not it's intended purpose! I do let him use it to check his homework after he has completed it first on his own, he then thinks it is a fun toy. His math skills and grades have improved since he began to use it, and he is now figuring out how to use it to help him complete his division homework.

I have one of these for addition, subtraction and division as well! These are fabulous for making math FUN! My grandson and I have a blast with these!

My 9 year old has been struggling with her multiplication tables -- to the point that she has been crying, saying she is stupid, etc. Needless to say, math homework time at our house has not been fun recently. I was desperately trying to find something that would help her -- and thought I would give this a try. She started using it last night and was immediately hooked, had a huge smile on her face, said it was lots of fun, and even wanted to wake up early this morning so she could "play" before school (!). I could not be happier with this and wish I had found it earlier. She figured out how to use it right away, and the option to use headphones is great... I would highly recommend this!

I am tutoring a child in 5th grade. He was struggling with his 6's, 7's, & 8's. Was looking for something more exciting than flashcards when a teacher recommended Twist & Shout Multiplication. I borrowed one, and we both fell in love with it! It is addictive! My student was so sad when I had to return the toy to its owner... I bought one for him immediately (as well as one for myself). Twist & Shout has given him confidence. He can now rattle off his facts without any sweat!Love the different settings. Because the toy is rythmic, kids pick up on the multiplication facts quickly. A lot of research and development went into this toy... job well done, LeapFrog! MUST-HAVE for educators and children alike. It deserves a spot on your holiday wish list!

IT ARRIVED PROMPTLY IN GREAT CONDITION :0) HAS LASTED MANY YEARS NOW & HAS MADE ITS WAY THROUGH ALL MY CHILDRE (NEICES/NEPHEWS), FRIENDS CHILDREN & EVEN MY DAUGHTER'S CLASS ROOMS, HAS HEALPED MANY OF THEM IMPROVE THEIR MATH SKILLS, WHILE MAKING LEARING FUN.

I found just what I wanted for my nephew to practice his math tables. The quality for used was great and arrived quickly.

I purchased this try to correct the after-effects of a stroke which effected my short memory in respect of my numerical auditory understanding. (This was particularly galling because the stroke I was of professor mathematics and my local University). It is working!
