Half chaps
I just received the Jamin (?) leather half chaps. I would think the name should be JamMin' - but oh well. LOLi like them but they do have a few issues (IMO)1. As has been mentioned, i wish they were longer - like the arc'd part was at or above the knee. the tip of the arc'd part is at the base of where my knee starts (i am 5 feet 5 inches - proportional to my torso)2. the main thing that is bothersome are the velcro straps. The top strap is ok, i can get all of the fuzzy part to match the "sticky" part - however, to make it tight enough (and the top one needs to be the tightest), when i pull it as tight as my calf allows, about 1 1/2 inch of the sticky part of the velcro hangs off.The middle strap is quite problematic - it does not need to be as tight as the top strap, but it needs to be supportive. But where the fuzzy side meets the sticky side causes the bend to stick out from the chaps. The same holds true of the bottom strap. When i pull it pretty tight, the sticky side doesn't even catch the fuzzy side to hold the strap in place! And the bottom strap i do want it to be a bit looser to give that bell bottom appearance.i made some adjustments to how the strap are supposed to loop and do it totally different than what it should but it makes the straps look better and holds them in place.fortunately, the boot will still keep the chaps from falling off.i think they look good - love the fringe which was the selling point for me anyway but i think that i could have done better with a small/medium - which is not offered at all.

I am an adverb motorcycle rider and waiting for the weather to cool so I am able to wear the half chaps in cold weather

Not quite right
The first thing that strikes you is the fringe is sewn on in the wrong direction. Then the are not long enough to cover the knee. Then there is no cover for the bottom of boot laces. And then when you strap them on they are wrinkled and sloppy looking. I should have returned them but i had already cut the fringe off before I realized they wouldn’t be long/tall enough when I was on the bike…
