Q: Is it possible to install the lock on the door, 40 mm thick.

Installed on my 42.5 mm. door. Tightening the bolts on the cylinder so that the existing door pull around the external face of the lock gripped the door made turning the key from the outside a bit stiff but seems to be getting slicker with use. You can trim the length of the fixing bolts with a hacksaw so perhaps mine are a fraction longer than they should be.

It seems to me that the unit must be defective. I have fitted 2 of these and had no problems! Send it back!
