Great Kona Coffee
This was a gift to my son who is a Kona-bean coffee drinker. He says this was good coffee. If you buy Kona coffee and you want PURE Kona beans, make sure you read the label. There are Kona blends out there. Look specifically for 100% Kona beans. Blends are cheaper than 100% Kona beans.

Great Coffee but not at that price
I liked the coffee, but its not that much better to justify the cost.

One of the best
This is one of the best coffee I ever had. It's aroma and the lack of bitterness is its highlights. I bought a pound of Jamaican Blue Mountain from another company andgot both of them around the same time. They are both great coffee, however the aroma of this kona coffee is the reason why I liked this coffee better than compared to the JBM I got from a different company specially when brewed by a French Press. One of the most important things that makes a great cup of coffee is if it isfreshly roasted. Both the kona and JBMwere really good when I first opened thebag and noticed a decline in quality after afew days. I believe it is best to finish thewhole bag within a week after you open itwhich is another reason why I preferredthis kona as it comes in a 7oz bag, I wouldrather get two 7oz bag than one 14oz.I will order a pound of kona coffee from the same company that I ordered the JBM and compare it with the kona private reserve since this company roast yourcoffee the same day it is shipped out and Ireceive it in two business days. It also cost a lot less for $20 a pound. Will I order this kona private reserve again for $17.95 for 7oz? I'll find out when I try the other brand, if it taste similar to the kona private reserve then I will probably start getting my kona coffee from the other roaster at a much lower cost, if not I will most likely beordering the kona private reserve again. I think it's worth the price for a coffee this good.

Excited but...
We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon so we were super excited to order some 100 percent Kona and get the taste of the islands again. Hopefully it is still enjoyable, but the bag can it looking a little crushed. We will see...

Not what I remembered, but not bad coffee.
I used to work two blocks from Lion Coffee in Honolulu where I would visit several times a week (~21 years ago?). I seem to remember this brand being sold there along with their house roasted and it was available in all of the gift shops around the island. It was something I would buy myself for my birthday or other occasion when I wasn't feeling too broke. Back then it came in 10 oz or 12 oz bags and I don't remember the price being too much lower so it isn't really a bad deal considering the number of years and inflation.Maybe I have lost some of my sense of smell, and my coffee tastes have changed quite a bit over the years. I went from light roast Hawaiian when I lived there to Guatemalan light then medium roast when I moved back to the states, now drinking less acidic roasts and mainly African and some Indonesian beans with a South American thrown in every now and then for a change. I didn't get overly excited on smelling the beans and was not impressed with the first cup which my wife made me for my birthday this year. No memory evoking aroma or flavor. I made myself a small cup the next day and it started to bring back some memory with flavor. I ordered some from a different seller on Amazon two years ago and still enjoyed it. It's not fake but not sure I would buy it again through Amazon. Two stars would be too harsh because my olfactory discernment isn't what it used to be.
