Quality belt but flawed design.
First, it's a quality belt flawed by its design. They put the Velcro all the way to the end of the belt, so no matter the size you will have to feed Velcro through the D-Ring and thus the buckle will never sit flat. This is not only a comfortability thing, it's a SAFETY thing as well. The way these work is as your Bodyweight pulls on the belt while under load and it thightens up preventing the belt from coming undone (and you falling to your death). Because the Velcro is under the point where it's sitting on the D-Ring (Buckle) "pinch point" it doesn't really tighten on itself very well. You have to be pretty stupid not to understand this concept, and I have a feeling the makers of this belt are "mall ninjas" and not the type who use these in the field. It's not a gun belt but if you read the description you would know that alread, so those complaining it's not rigid are idiots themselves. It's not double lined so it won't be as stiff as their other more rigid belts however, that's not what I was looking for and if you carry IWB it will have zero issues. The fix is very easy: remove the first few inches of Velcro (the non scratchy part, so the the Velcro that goes all the way around the belt) close to the D Ring (buckle) as I have shown in the photos!Sizing: I wear a 33/34 waist jeans (Levi/Lucky Brands) which are fitted but that's how I like them as I hate ghetto baggy. If I want to IWB, I wear a 35/36 waist. My ACTUAL measured waist with a cloth tape measure is 39-40" depending on the day (how much water & salt I have had the previous day.). The large is a perfect fit with about 8" of tail for the Velcro part of the belt to secure. This is the minimum amount you want for it to safely secure you under load when using it as an actual riggers belt. It's normally 8"-12" of slack recommended. I have put on about 15lbs which I need to lose (currently 6'6" and 205lbs) however my waist size hasn't really changed as I still fit into my jeans; maybe an inch at most. If I lose the weight, I expect to get at most another inch of overhang (9" at that point) so still in the ideal range. I would like to see more of the scratchy Velcro part too as it's only about 5.5" and should be the full 8" (minimum, 12" maximum needed).Obviously the belt wasn't made by professionals for actual rigging, just emergency situations where your dead if you don't so why not at least try. Blackhawk's rigger belt used to be diecent but is now total garbage as the quality control (and now cheaper materials) have suffered due to corporate greed. I would put this belt on par with Blackhawks old belts (which were/are made in Vietnam, but again used to be better quality).Lastly, it goes on backwards, with the belt being fed right to left, instead of the usual go through the left side and wrap around to the right, like every other belt I have warn. The belt feels like it was made by a left handed mentally deficient mall ninja. It is however "doable" and again pretty good quality overall. If they fixed the design flaws the belt would be worth about $50 which is what they are asking. I'm sure they will steal these ideas, then charge me again for the fixed version. I left government work and started a consulting company, only to find these greedy companies love my ideas but never want to pay.

95% love it. This is a bit narrower than some ...
Update: Been wearing this belt daily for a bit now and have a few more thoughts. I wouldn't quite knock a star off yet, but I'm definitely frustrated with the overall quality. All of the spots where they melted the cut edges to seal them are VERY rough and sharp, and were really irritating me. I was able to sand them smooth but I feel like for a belt, this is something that should be part of the manufacturing process. Also, the D-ring being too far from the buckle is starting to annoy me a little more. It's overlapping a belt loop on EVERY pair of pants I own, so I either have to skip a loop or it's hard to access the D-ring. And finally, it goes on the opposite direction (clockwise) from every other belt I own, which is a minor detail but is starting to see a little weird. It's still a good belt for the price, but...95% love it. This is a bit narrower than some other belts so it's easier to put on/remove on normal pairs of pants for daily use. My one complaint is the D-ring's position makes it conflict with a belt loop on basically every pair of pants I own. I wish it was an inch or two closer to (preferably) or farther from the buckle itself. A lot of other belts put this either right next to the buckle or less than an inch away. I think that would be a better attachment point for it.

Basically the only belt I wear.
I've had this belt for 5 years and the velcro and straps are holding very very well. It saved me once as a strap to strap some of my equipment in my car. I used it also a couple times rappelling down a tree while getting a frisbee, a shoe, soccer ball, and a football stuck in a tree. (someone got the frisbee stuck, then used a football to knock it down, then a soccer ball to get the football down, then a shoe to get either the soccer ball or football down) Oh, I forgot to mention the water bottle too. Maintains its shape and tensile strength fairly well, and excellent for tech locks and other knives, or pistol holster that has a belt loop option.

This belt is a no-brainer. My unit didn't include a coyote brown belt with the new issue multicam ACU's so I bought my own. I've owned a desert tan version I've worn with the digital ACU's for the last six years and I'm sure it'll last another six. It survived Afghanistan and six years of Infantry field use.

Combat tested
Combat veteran tested and approved. 6 years in the US Army with a OIF tour I never wore another belt. Bought a black one when I left the military but my tan one was perfectly fine. I have towed vehicles and removed stuck ones with it no problem. Enough said.P.S. I’m no mall warrior as another commenter mentioned if your relying on this saving your life your gonna need some rope and if you got rope you can tie a Swiss Seat just saying.

Buy in the store if you can
Sizes are way off... I ordered a XL because I'm about a 34/36 inch weist and I like my belts kinda big, however this was gigantic on me. All I wanted to do a size swap but was charged a restocking fee and shipping fees again than forced to rebuy.

Best riggers belt out there
I have been wearing this belt consistently for 5 years. Very impressed with the quality of this belt. I wear a pistol holster and mag pouches with this perpetually. There is just now some very slight wear on the belt. Can't say enough about this belt. You buy this you won't need another belt for years.

Reliable, tough, and field tested.
I have had a version of this belt (desert tan) for 10 years. Still works perfectly, with some molding noted with age and usage. So I purchased a black version of the same size so that I can use it with other trousers. The sizing is great for me. The velcros and noise made with removal is forgivable considering how long it has lasted. The actual ring is a hardened metal, and it is uncomfortable on the hips to use it how you would envision. It is not intended to be used as a rigger's harness. It is great for outdoors work.

Spec-Ops, when nothing but the best will do!
Got this belt on a super deal at 20$Cdn. I own a few Rigger's belt made by Blackhawk and a model called Operator model by 5.11 Tactical, but neither compare to this one by Spec-Ops brand. I have had to use the belt for a high angle rescue and I had no doubts about using it. The belt and buckles are rated to much higher than what the average human weighs, so no issues there.Materials, construction, quality and excellent warranty. In my book, even at regular price, this is still one of the best belts you can get.
