3 1/2 STARS
I loved reading S.E. Smiths other books in this series, and gave most of those books 5 stars. Unfortunately, this book for me was a little boring in places, and a little disappointing in others. The book has some spelling, and misused words in it. Very unusual for this author. Her books are usually more polished.****************************************SPOILER ALERT***************************************l loved the main characters...Cree, Calo, and Melina......I could feel the twin dragons hopelessness, fear, and despair that they would never find their true mate. I felt Melina's sorrow over loosing her gandfather.....so much so I actually cried. The storyline was great, as were the descriptions of the main characters. Melina throwing dung at the twins when they got to close, was absolutely hilarious.....However, this book, to me, felt choppy in places, and rushed in others. The flow was off. For example: around 40% of the book was of the twins trying to get close to Melina, and Melina dressed up, and acting like a deranged boy. For me, after awhile it got boring. I kept saying to myself, "Come on, get on with it". Also, when they got to earth, after Melina changed into her dragon in the cop shop, the next day or so she tells the brothers to leave....what? She actually thought to stay on earth as a dragon? The twins never explained to her, and she never really asked what being their mate entailed. For them to leave her would have been a death sentence for all of them. You would think the twins would mention that, don't you think? Then the night of the dinner, we know they are going, then bam! It's the next day, and Melina is waking up. It was like the dinner scene was cut out of the book. There are other instances in the book where the book didn't flow, but I think I have given enough secrets away. Anyway, only about 20% or so, of the book was dedicated to what happened on the twins planet, Valdier. I feel the author missed an opportunity to turn this so, so book into something spectacular.

This was probably the worst book by this author
This was probably the worst book by this author. Waste of 3.00. Majority of book was rehash of content from other books in series. I love the Valdier series and this author, but seriously if she is going to ask full book price give us a new book in the series 2/3 of this was duplicate info from earlier books. In my opinion, the new content was in line with the "For the love of Tia" novella which was free for the longest time. I read the story and enjoyed that she wrote the Twins and Melina's story, but I don't feel she took the time to flesh out the story as much as should/could have been. Maybe spending too much time on her other series trying to get them under way. The Magic New Mexico series is following in the Valdier series footsteps, the first book was great had a well thought out story and multiple interesting characters. The Spirit pass series so far has been pretty well done, so is Cosmo's Gateway. The Alliance series, while I have enjoyed the books are not as well fleshed out or edited as some her other series.

My review for Twin Dragons
This is Calo , Cree and Mel's ( Melina ) story . Mel and her grandfather were taken years ago by space traders and are now are stuck on a world that they used to work but everyone but them are gone and they are running out of supplies . Calo , Cree and Creon land on the plant hoping to find there friend but instead find these two and nope it is does not go well for them !! For a while poor Calo and Cree are not sure what is going on since they both are attracted to the male Mel . Melina gives them such a hard time that but their symbiots run and try to stay with Mel so they know that "he" is their mate . After landing on Earth they run into even more trouble ! I swear I love the way that S E Smith's mind works !! This is story and series is so well written and strongly recommended to all !

Pretty good
I surprised every time I read a book by this author. You start out with Cree and Calo watching a pair of older twins get executed due to being crazy. They both vow to not get like that. Then you move to the mines where Melina and her grandfather get rescued. This part is priesthood. The three slowly get to know each other and realize they are made for each other. Then the story moves back to earth. You think the story should end here but it doesn't. They move back to Cree and Calo's home planet. That's where a disaster happens. Don't worry it has a HEA.

I love this story !!!
Melina, Calo, and Cree are three wounded and scarred people thrown together by chance. Melina and her grandfather were on earth when they were kidnapped by slave traders and sold to a mining colony. For four years Melina had to hide the fact that she was a female from the owners of the mines and the other prisoners. Things went from bad to worse when the mine owners abandoned the mine and left the prisoners to die. Melina and her grandfather were survivors left in the mine. Then rescue came from the stars.Cree and Calo are the twin dragons from valdier. They are the most feared and fiercest warriors of all valdier. But there's a dark side to being twin dragons. They are rare and the most dangerous. They need a mate that can help them keep the madness at bay, a mate that can love them both. Calo and Cree saw what happened to the previous twin dragons and swore that they would die in battle or take their own lives than to let the madness consume them.Calo and Cree are apart of the rescue party sent to the mine when they come across Melina and her grandfather. Their dragons sense their mate is near and it's driving the twins crazy. Calo and Cree think their mate is a boy (not a beautiful woman in disguise. Talk about brain dead). Is Melina strong enough to love love the dragons ? Can Calo and Cree control their macho man attitudes or will a small dynamo named Melina knock them on their butts ?

So... I wasn't sure how this one was going to pan out. I had doubts about whether it was actually something I would want to read as well as it being a book that could pull off what previous novels had achieved. The answer is yes, in some ways. I can't say I've ever given much thought to the paranormal genre having a subcategory of shared mates but I have to say it was pulled off as tastefully as a book about effectively a love triangle can be. Because there two males, Cree and Calo, had always been emphasises as so similar it was slightly less confusing as I thought of them more of a single entity. This wasn't hard as neither were particularly distinguished as being their own person, more a half of the 'Twin dragons' that found their mate, something not known in the history of their kind. It was a nice story of a happy ending for two ill-fated male destined to end up maddened by the dragons' need for a mate capable of handling both twins. The story got off to quite a slow start, we'd heard a lot about Mel/Cal in Carmen/Creon's book so their background was familiar so going through it again was a bit repetitive. Additionally because Melina (female lead) was supposed to be Mel, a young boy to avoid being sold on as a female by traders, it was hard work struggling through the pining for Calo and Cree from a distance, likewise with them pining after Mel. I did flick quite hastily through the first half of the book just because there wasn't much new of exciting developments but the book got better as it went along. Ending was a bit weak and out of the blue, however I still enjoyed the read.

Loved it!
OMG I just loved this book from start to finish. I loved the storyline and it's main characters. Cree & Calo were possessive alpha males who had thought they would never find their mate and they would either die in battle or by their farthers hand. Melina, who was abducted along with her grandad and had been forced to work on a alien mining asteroid in deep space until they were saved. She was strong, fiery and compassionate. I liked the way the author put the story together like the change for Mel to Melina and when the Cree & Calo mated Melina. It's important for a book to flow easily without having difficulty finding your way through the pages and this book was perfect. I can't fault it in any way. I loved it and I recommend it!

First time I've read a book by this author
Just my opinion not a synopsis- the book was enjoyable and I can see how the author links other characters for further sequels, I got fed up with it after a while.I found this book dragged because of it. The storyline just before the final major storyline just dragged and dragged. Yet over all the book was okay, just not as tight as others with the concept ideas. Maybe I should have read previous ones but I didn't feel that as it was fine reading it as a standalone. It was fine......therefore 3 stars

I didn't know what to expect from this book but wow!
After waiting eagerly for this for so long I wasn't sure what to expect. The story started so sadly but then took me over. So much so that I started reading it in the early hours of the morning and couldn't put it down till I'd finished. The twins confusion over "Mel" was laughable but understandable and it was sweet how they were willing to try and be what they felt was needed. My favourite part? Mel saying "I've got a shovel and I know how to use it"........priceless!

Amazing
As always this author has delivered another amazing book. The twins were incredible and I fell In love with them deeply and rooted for them the whole time. Their confusion over "mel" was hilarious and at times frustrating with how long it took them to realise the truth. I laughed and cried throughout this story and truly did not want the book to end. I adore this author and cannot wait for her next book release!

Love it
Another fine story from the dragon series. Really loved Mel's journey with her dragons - Cree & Calo. It was very funny in bits. Best thing about the book was that there was no repetition whatsoever from the previous books. The story was told from Mel & the twins perspective. Which is a good thing as I have found a few books in a series quite repetitive. Loved it. Looking forward to the next book from this author.

Enjoyable
Another story by an author who's books I invariably enjoy. This is back to the Dragon Lords on their world (have enjoyed these the best did not like some of the off world ones)Although some things are a bit incredulous well what do you expect from sexy sci-fi fantasy but otherwise a good read.
