An amazing devotional that's written from the heart
After 2 pre-teens and a toddler, I thought I knew it all (well, almost) when it came to parenting so I wasn't really looking for yet another parenting tool when I chanced upon this book. And I'm so glad I did.The books reminds us how each child is a person of his/her own. We can only do so much but guide them as best we can towards the right direction. It stresses how much responsibility motherhood requires. And I'm not just speaking of physical aspect of child rearing but the active spiritual molding of a child. And yes it has entirely Christian overtones and that's what I love most of all about it. In an amoral, almost god-less world we have now it's a good thing to be reminded that mothering isn't just about us moms but having God to turn to for direction and having Him to turn to when things don't turn out the way we planned.Oh, and her stories and reflections manage to hit bull's-eye about how life as a mother is sometimes hectic, funny, tiring, dramatic, thrilling, exhausting, restless but almost always rewarding. We learn more from our children than the other way around.I have read the book and I'm re-reading it now as a devotional. I have no plans of deleting or archiving it from my Kindle.A must-read for moms!

Laugh, Kneel, Love...
Don't Make Me Come Up There"-- makes me cheer! And it makes me get down on my knees and thank Jesus for this vocation of mothering. Because this book's take on motherhood is with a fresh honesty, a deep humility, and always has Christ firmly at the center of it.Each chapter can be read easily in one sitting (or standing at the stove, stirring soup :) by a mama of many. I've been picking it up right in the middle of it all -- and it's guaranteed to bring a smile of recognition ("I'm not alone!")... (or flat out laugh.) And it's guaranteed to encourage and turn a chaotic day to Him who really matters. This book is making me laugh and it's making me kneel and it's making me love.I can think of no higher compliment of a book for a mama down in the trenches --- or at the bottom of the stairs :)

So much more than a devotional
I do not normally review anything I read but I had to say something about Kristen Welch's book. When I downloaded this book I had no idea what I was getting myself into but once I started reading it, I could not stop. As a mom I know I'm not perfect but boy does every other mother sure look like they have it together when I don't. It was nice to read about a mother who is not perfect, is not afraid to admit it and is a Christian. I know this was suppose to be a devotional but I could not leave it, I read it in almost one sitting. The prayers touched my heart and the scriptures were ones I needed to hear or be reminded about. THANK YOU so much for writing this and touching people in ways you may never know. I'm in the process of adopting my niece (long story there) and I questioned on if I am mom material. I'm not perfect, I don't have it all together all of the time, I get mad sometimes and God daily delivers me from my sassy mouth.Kristen, you made me me see that my niece does not need me to be perfect, she doesn't need me to have it all together all of the time, what she needs is someone that will love her without question and without fail. She needs a mom who seeks God and can share that with her. Thank you for sharing your family with my family.

Loved the funny stories about her family life =)
I really enjoyed reading this book about the trials and tribulations of being a Mom. She has a funny way of sharing her stories and they had me smiling through out this book. Why 4 stars instead of 5? - I didn't realize that there would be so many references to her Christian based faith and prayers at the end of each chapter but I would just move on to the next page whenever I'd get to the prayers part. I'd still highly recommend this book to others as I enjoyed reading it very much.

Great quick devotional read each day for moms!
I have 5 children, so it’s difficult to find time (even if I get up early) to get a quiet time in each day without interruptions. I loved this book. It was very applicable and easy to read.

A MUST READ TO ENCOURAGE MOMS
I read a LOT and this may be my first book review - but I wanted any mom considering buying this book to take a minute and JUST.DO.IT. I read the ENTIRE BOOK waiting in an airport. I laughed and cried through almost every chapter. The book is written like you are talking to a good friend who has been exactly where you are, speaking directly to your mama life. She then takes those circumstances and uses them to speak God's truth to your spirit. The best way to describe the book is like you have a wonderful, Godly mentor who is willing to share her own struggles, but always ends the conversation with encouragement. Basically, what we all want to be to each other! Although I read the book in one sitting, it could just as easily be broken up and read as individual chapters for a busy mom. I just couldn't put it down!

Best pep talk for Mom's with little boys
This product has helped me so much with my boys. I have a two year old and a 4 month old and there are so many times when I feel like I am failing as a mother. This book is perfect because it only takes a few minutes to read, cause we all know Mom's dont have an hour to read their devotional, and it gives me so much encouragement. I highly recommend this book for all mothers (especially of little boys!).

No description of this book because it is religious...?
I have nothing against people who want to practise christianity but I do object to the fact that, through a tempting free book, (procurement?) it is going to try to preach to me. Whatever genre a book is, should be made quite clear by a product description. Then I can make a simple choice, to read or not to read. The attractive cover is about all this book has going for it. The prose is unappealing, the subject matter, boring.I shall delete it from my archive.
