I'm Enjoying This Game
Let me start off by saying the last UFC game I was really invested in was UFC 3 Undisputed on Xbox 360. I loved that game and played it on a regular basis. Fast forward to this entry and I was intrigued by the simplified ground game controls. I've played demos of UFC 2 and 3 respectively and I found their ground game far too complicated from UFC 3 Undisputed. This newest entry does a good job of simplifying the controls so that you can get in there with anyone and hold your own. Funny enough, after playing for awhile, I found that I was somewhat used to having more control over the ground game. I opted for a hybrid approach, which thankfully, is an option. That allows you to control the position on the ground, but also offers quick submissions and standing up.Now onto the game itself. I'm not a diehard fan of UFC or the series of games. But I do find this one very accessible. I really like to stand and throw hands in these games. It reminds me of Fight Night Champion, and sadly, this is probably as close as we will get to having that series return. I've heard a lot of the criticisms of the ground and pound, and I will agree that some of the blows look like they shouldn't knock someone out. But overall, this does not affect my enjoyment of the game. Here are some criticisms I do have about the game:-Backyard and Kumite modes are fun, but exhibition only. I can understand Kumite not being worked into career, but Backyard could have easily been the starting point before the coach discovered you.-Injuries mean nothing in career mode. While I'm thankful since I am still learning the game, you can spend cash to make injuries go away. They should carry more weight on your career.-Rivalries. I haven't found a reason to start one yet. You can trash talk to build more hype for your fights, but being respectful leads to more training partners in the end.-Framerate. This might be a PS4 thing, but some fights feel like slideshows at times. Even on PS4 Pro, there are no performance and/or resolution mode options. What I do like about the game:-Career Mode. There's a lot of realism with fight contracts, sparring with others, and training between fights.-Blitz Mode. It's a fun, quick fire tourney with other players. You have to play within the set rules and you can communicate via pre-set prompts. Less trash talking and more fighting.-Presentation. The game definitely feels like the real thing. I think the graphics are pretty good, especially when you see their fake social media feed using in game assets.Ultimately, I would watch some reviews and make a decision for yourself. If you are a casual fan or have played previous games in the series, I think it's worth a go. Maybe this game is not for series enthusiasts, but if you've been away from the series for awhile, this is the one to get. Also, no Ultimate Team! The only mictrotransactions so far are cosmetic! Worth getting before they change their mind on that!

Enjoyable
Pretty neat game, similar to the ones before it but newer obviously. Career mode now has changed somewhat. I am struggling to figure out the new grappling controls now that they changed it. But this game has kept me entertained for a good week or two. I still play it from time to time and I am satisfied with my purchase. If your a fan of UFC then I would recommend this game

Best UFC game.
I got this Sunday after watching 252. I love this game. They made it a lot more fun. I know some people like the simulation style better but this feels like a FUN videogame. They have knockout mode, which is nice. They also have a bunch of challenges and career mode is a little more entertaining. I cannot stop playing. If you like a more twang on your game this is it.
